Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Great to see those three together pal :)

Another interesting project :) Have you wet a line in your creek yet Dylan?

Thank you, Jack. I have cast in a few spots but without much success. I did talk with my neighbor a bit and he pointed out some good holes for me to try that are within easy walking distance, now I just have to find the time - there never seems to be enough of it.

Dylan, sounds like a worth while project on your end. If you do a complete rebuild/redesign with you use lumber or the synthetics?

That's a great question. Personally, I would like to go with wood, as I don't mind the upkeep and prefer the natural material. However, the synthetic stuff has certainly come a long way and can look quite nice if installed properly. I suppose we will mull it over a bit more before the time comes - for now, I have to finish my bathroom remodel, complete my bar makeover, and finish my family/rec room.

Good day, Guardians - Happy almost-Friday!

What do you fish for?

We have a lot of Smallmouth Bass and Trout in the creek - I've also heard that there are some good spots for Salmon and Steelhead too but the Bass and Trout are more apt to be near my house. I have a lot of fun fishing for Smallmouth but I haven't done it consistently in a few years. Living on a healthy creek should be more motivating though and it absolutely is, it just requires the time that I am usually spending on household projects and the like.

I know just what you mean my friend, and I guess that's true for most of us. Fishing is always something I sometimes muse I will return to in my retirement years, and while I don't have a nearby creek, at least I wouldn't have to travel so far as when I was a lad, when the Sheffield rivers were so polluted, I had to travel 2 counties away to wet a line

Another great pic Dylan, and you have really captured that Damascus blade perfectly, something I always fail at

Good morning Guardians, Friday is here, and the weekend is just round the corner. I hope this means something to some of you, and that you have something planned, so I can enjoy it vicariously. Here, I might be able to have another walk round the local park with a pal, and I might get out to buy some bread tomorrow  Have a good day Guardians, and stay safe out there

I picked up a re-print of this old tome from 1880

Love that pipe! Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a Peterson? Lovely lambsis too but that pipe.....

Look what I received from Leeds today! In addition to the awesome Gadsden-flag derived patch, Jack included a couple of coins, some sweets, a game of Jacks, a church key, a map of Leeds, a Yorkshire rose key fob, an ebony bagpipe lambsfoot, and perhaps most importantly a lambsfoot pin! I think that means I’m officially a Guardian! :D

Good evening Jack et. al. cudgee cudgee inspired me to take out the lambsfoot this evening, whilst we were discussing cast iron. I need to address adding an easy open notch so I can carry mine more...

Great to see you hear Willie, hope you're doing OK buddy :) Sorry to hear you're struggling with your Lamb :(

I'm glad it made it Christian :) With the ongoing lockdown here, everyday things like getting hold of packaging, and going to the post office are made difficult, and the first time I went into town with your package, I forgot to put the address sticker on! :D

Good morning Guardians, I'm hoping to get out for a stroll in a while, and pick up some bread. I wish I could go for a hike, but that's not an option here at the moment I'm afraid :( Coffee first! :D Have a great weekend everyone :) Got my AC in my pocket today

Thanks, Bill, the #44 is really a keeper! Lag 16 is the benchmark, now that Laphroaig 18 is no longer available. It's my all-time fave.
I just can't afford to drink it very often.

I know what you mean - the price of scotch has really gone up over the recent years.

Great shots of your HHB Jack:thumbsup:. I think that I will be carrying mine too. All this talk about fishing got me thinking about fly fishing for in the spring. I usually go with my cousins to northern Pennsylvania to fish the limestone creeks there.
Photo taken of my HHB alongside my Rainbow Trout pen that was made for me by a close friend and gifted to me. The trout figure is inlaid with different colored wood.
