Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone survived the week, and that you have a lovely weekend ahead of you. It's taken me a couple of days to recover from my trip to London, but I don't having planned. I won't be going to any barbecues, because they've now been officially banned, as our fire service is really being pushed right now. There've also been at least a couple of train derailments since I returned home, so I won't be going back to London for a while. It's already hot this morning, and I am looking forward to a weekend of lollygagging, sprinkled with some light housework, and perhaps a trip to the shops I'll also try to post a few pics from London at some point (there aren't many, as I mainly spent my time there inside the court, where photograpjy is forbidden, or in the coffee shop next door, which was built by the Spartans Have a good one Guardians

British Rail was split up into numerous private companies under Mrs Thatcher Jer, and investment in the network has been minimal ever since. The government have had to pour in money repeatedly, and it'll have to happen again now, as it sounds like the entire network is going to need replacing, which will cost Billions, and take at least 10 years In the meantime, summer timetables will have to be drastically cut, and they're talking about painting the rails white as a temporary solution

Yeah the movie was okay there was a few odd actor choices I thought.

Wow, that's incredibly cool Mitch! I went on this funicular railway in Lugano in Switzerland once, but it's wasn't as fast as in the video!

I think fire bans will probably occur here in the future mate, many of the wild fires have been caused by people just being stupid

Most people here are pretty sensible high fire danger has just been away of life. Sadly a percentage of bush fires are deliberately lit.
