Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

My God man😨! When I was in college and very foolish a bunch of my fraternity brothers would mix up 190 proof alcohol with with Welches grape juice...we called it "Jungle Juice"🤪. Very dangerous stuff😱. The knife is great though.

Yeah, it makes a great booster in a pot of coffee. The heck with Cognac or Brandy.

Beverages and Lambsfoots? Yes, please!

Margarita for me. The lambsfoot was on lime slicing duty, of course!
Cheers Greg! :)
That interesting background shows off Old Toffee Wings well Jer :)

Good morning Guardians, hope there are no hangovers today, and that everyone had a fantastic weekend ;) :D  I've got a busy week ahead workwise, but I dare say it won't keep me from The Porch ;) Have a good week everyone

Thanks. My 1911 Britannica.

I understand people are gathering at Stonehenge against advice! Probably have gathered by now.
Historic

Yes, English Heritage promised a livestream of the sunrise to dissuade people from attending, but cancelled it as a form of collective punishment  ;)
Tropical storm system in our area for the last day or so and more rain on the way:(. Good for indoor projects though...and I have plenty to do🤤. Decided to give my HHB a break and go elegant today;). I really like Ebony and don't understand why I don't have more knives with it:thumbsup:.

You could have saved me a stiff neck! :D ;) Nice pic Jer :)

I've been working all day, but managed to get some time away from the screen to add a final wax layer to the hiking staff I've been working on, along with a lanyard, and an Alpine spike ferrule (rubber 'boot' over the top). It's finished, for now at least ;)

Looks really nice Jack! 😎👍 Do you have its maiden hike planned?

Thanks Todd :) Not yet, but hopefully I can cook something up by the weekend ;) THis is my longest staff so far, comes up to my ear
Forgive my ignorance, I’ve never carried a staff, did you have a specific purpose in mind for making it that long? An advantage of some kind?

I'll save that one for wading streams Todd! ;) Not that I do that very often these days ;) I have in mind using it to support a tarp shelter when I'm out hiking, and I may also make it into a camera mono-pod

Looks good Jack. Plain but has plenty of character.

Thanks Ed, the last one I made was even plainer! :D Ash is good wood for sticks, but it doesn't always have much character
This piece of wild cherry was in my garage for a couple of years.
The idea with the knife was to tighten a too-long curve and to bring the blade length down to 2.5", for the delectation of Chicago and Cleveland.

This is about as Alpine as I get.
