Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I put some superglue on/in a deep crack between the light and dark, opposite the center pin.

This might be the provocation I needed to steel-wool the horn and apply a coat of that clear epoxy finish I bought by accident.
Worst case scenario, I'll have another knife that could use new covers.

Dan, your photo perfectly summarizes the allure of a lambsfoot: warmth in a cold world. Guardians salute you!

Thank you Jeff :)

I would try a tiny drop of liquid superglue as you gently touch the tip of the bottle to the crack and let capillary action suck it in. Reapply every few min until it fills and then light sand/buff it when fully dry. Maybe tape around the crack to avoid run off.

Good morning Guardians :)

I am playing it safe this morning and carrying my faithful lamb for good luck and healing vibes :)

That's good to hear Harvey, hope things are back to normal soon :)
Thank you.
Hard to take a pic, with the winter sun streaming through my south-facing kitchen windows
You did a great job, though.
It's Monday, which means, "Get back to work!" 😁
Hope it’s a good week for you, John. Fab Lamb shot.
Thank you Jeff :)

Be safe, Dan. Your Lamb and boots should certainly help.

Thank you, Jack... You do the same. :)
Thanks mate :)

Do you think that has been caused by wear and tear, a fall, or atmospheric conditions Jer? I have seen dry horn flake on old knives before, but generally it is very robust in my experience, much more than bone for example. Hope it's not the end of Old Toffee Wings :(

It may be laziness, but I am something of a minimalist when it comes to modding/repairing knives. Certainly with fractured bone, I would make an early intervention though

Great to see you here Dan, how are you feeling? Not too many bruises I hope. That looks like a sure-footed combination my friend! :) I once sent a full-set of dedicated ice-climbing crampons to a former member here, so let me know if I can help ;)

Hard to beat a bowl of hot soup when it's cold outside :)

It's a sunny day here, but with a biting wind. British soul food for lunch ;)

I have to be honest Jack, the beans on toast just doesn't look all that appetizing to me but I promise that I'll give it a tryo_O. I may have to doctor them up with some onions, peppers, and some hot dogs though.:p YourEbony is looking great. I am still carrying mine today.

Hey there all you Guardians! Took a photo last evening of the sunset over our canal in the back yard. Not a lot of shrubs or trees yet but we will be working on it this spring. Planning on adding another patio and fire pit too.

Thank you Harvey :) Despite my love of Barlows, I always enjoy seeing short bolsters like the ones on that beauty  Nobody, that I know of, produces knives with bolsters like that anymore, and they're a sign of a great old knife in my opinion. Nicely captured in your photo my friend :)

It may be that they are regarded as 'comfort food' here, because so many of us grew up eating beans on toast, but I don't think they should be underestimated, and are best appreciated plain, perhaps with just a splash of Henderson's, in my opinion. Unlike many folks here, I don't have them very often, but when I do, I never fail to enjoy them, and to wonder why I don't have them for lunch more often. For me, good toasted bread is important, (wheaten sourdough for me today), I also much prefer 'Branston baked beans, these days, to Heinz, which have been water-down in recent years. Give them a try sometime, with a strong cup of tea, with milk, on the side

Two great photos there Todd, that really is a nice spot, just beautiful :)

Nice yummy image. I used to slice hotdogs for extra body.

Be sure to let us know what you think Taylor 👍

You too buddy 😊👍

Oh I'm giving up trying to post replies today, so please don't think me ill-mannered if I've not acknowledged you. This website is all over the place for me.

I hope your well Dan; I've had concussion 3 times and it can take a remarkably long time for the injury to fully heal. 🤕

Wonderful pics as always folks. I'm repeating yesterday's as all I've done today is sit about waiting for a parcel.

Thanks Jack :)
My neck and head are a bit sore and have a nagging small head ache.
I am very well taken care off at home by my wonderful ladies. I am also taking a couple days off work.
I think the ER doc wants to run a couple more tests to completely rule out other potential causes of why I fell as the fall was unwitnessed ( ex. heart, seizures etc ) but to me it's pretty clear …. I was skating and was out of practice for crying out loud and slipped on the ice :)
Anyways I'll get the studies done to go along with the doc and reassure my wife
Please take it slow and easy. Concussions can take longer to fully heal than you expect, so pay attention to anything that feels "off".

Thank you Rachel :) I will
I appreciate your concern !

Gracias Donn, I'll be taking it easy to let the body heal.
No more skating for what's left of this winter for me. Next year I'll start slower, more aware of my limitations ( I am not 20 anymore lol ) and I'll be wearing a helmet 100 %
KO one for me but several people have related their experiences with concussions on the Porch
