That's from Royal Armouries MS I.33, the oldest known European fighting manual. The whole manual is focused on sword and buckler combat, and teaches a system that is popular among modern HEMA practitioners. Looks tasty Bill, no lamb in that recipe?Good morning Guardians and all. Storms are moving through the are right now and with them will be plunging temperatures (expecting low 20's deg F). Winds at 50 mph and gusting higher. Good thing we got the sausage made yesterday. It turned out really good. I did not include any maple syrup as I felt some people could add it later when they were served the sausage. Plus, I like to crumble the sausage and add it to spaghetti sauce and other stuff where maple flavoring would not be appreciated. Harvey (cigarrodog ) requested that I take a photo of my HHB with the sausage and I was almost too late as my wife smelled the cooking sausage and snuck into the kitchen - before I knew it 3 out of the four patties were gone!
