I think we should all eat like Hobbits.
  • Breakfast - 7 a.m.
  • Second Breakfast - 9 a.m.
  • Elevenses - 11 a.m.
  • Luncheon - 1 p.m.
  • Afternoon Tea - 3 p.m.
  • Dinner - 6 p.m.
  • Supper - 9 p.m.
I am particularly fond of a second breakfast! :D ;) There is a historical (obscure) Yorkshire phrase, which I've posted about here before, but currently escapes my addled brain! ;)
If all else fails, just look at Jack Black Jack Black 's posts and you'll be instantly hungry...works every time for me...🤣
Thanks Ken :D
I hear you guys.

I've been lucky with my knees and back. Both have had issues, but not beyond remediation. My knees got a lot better after putting in a lot of work on improving my running form about a dozen years ago. My back has gotten a lot better lately after working on strengthening my core and introducing a daily stretching routine (which I hated until I realized it was working wonders). Unfortunately after a lifetime of typing, probably with too much enthusiasm, and a lot of more recent use whittling my hands are starting to show signs of arthritis. I'm not looking forward to it getting worse as time goes on. :(

Perhaps if I add more fat to my diet I can oil my own joints. :D

You are more disciplined than most of us Greg :) Sorry to hear about the arthritis mate :( Cool pic
Happy Pi Day Guardians.
Since I gave up sweets for Lent, I had to resort to Pizza Pie. šŸ˜†

That looks like some serious pizza John, hope you enjoyed it buddy :) Great pic

I did not carry my lambfoot today, but it’ll be back in my pocket tomorrow when I go back to work. Until then happy 314 day
Cool pic Jon :)

Good morning Guardians, well, we've made it to Tuesday! Hope everyone's week got off to a good start :) A fine start to the day here, but I'm hoping the plumber is going to return, and fix my boiler! Have a good one Guardians

Thank you David. Success.šŸ˜‚
Cheers!

Thanks Harvey, I hope so too  I just spent a lot of time searching through my pics (I have a LOT). Being long and thin, they don't make for very good pics :D Here's an ash walking staff, which I made in 2020 or '21, one of the first I did, has a compass counter-sunk in the top.

That's great work Jack. Looks a better bet for a dog stick than my modern walking poles.

Me too mate, but staying overnight in York seems to cost twice as much as anywhere else!
Twice?! Ha! That's a mite optimistic :D
Actually my Travelodge room wasn't to bad but that's no doubt with it being out of season.

Yeah great aren't they. I didn't know they were still about.

Happy Pi(e) Day Guardians! ;) :D

Thanks David, not yet but we never know what's coming!!!šŸ‘

Off to work today in a minute so now lambsfoot for me, so I'm rehashing an old pie pic.

Yes, it can be very spendy! I used to stay in the old pubs there, but they're dearer than hotels now. The last time I was there, I stayed in the Novotel by the Foss, but it cost more than any other Novotel I've ever stayed in. We had been up to Pickering for a few days, and the only reason we stayed in York was to see the resident jazz band at The Swan. When we got there, the gig was cancelled :(

Me neither mate, it's as old as me! :D It was only when I saw the price, that I realised it wasn't from the 60's! :D

A warm homey image deserves repeating. Have a good day, David.
I figured it was going to rain since I wowed the lawn, washed my Jeep, and watered the plants.
You did everything you could, John. Hope you get that hoped for rain you were wishing for. Splendid outdoor i

Good Morning Guardians
We are finally getting some much needed rain today.
I figured it was going to rain since I wowed the lawn, washed my Jeep, and watered the plants.
That’s how it always seems to goā€¦šŸ˜‰ Glad you’re getting the rain you need John.

Thanks, Jack. It was very tasty, :)

Hope you get your boiler fixed, Jack. 🤠
Thanks mate, I'm afraid I'm still waiting on the boiler, just rang my Housing Association, and they were as clueless as they generally are! 🤬

Thank you very much Todd, very kind of you :)

What a day! Apart from my ongoing boiler issues, I had a totally wasted trip to town, and have been messing around with my cell-phone ever since. I bought this one less than a year ago, and it's been a nightmare. For the first six months, it behaved as if it was possessed, flashing between apps at record speeds, changing settings, deleting photos, overwriting notes, sending texts, all I could do was try to re-boot it. I'd have sent it back, but I didn't have a spare phone. The 'Haunting' has recently calmed down, but all sorts of other bugs have made it unusable. I decided to try a factory re-set today, so backed up all my contacts, photos, settings, notes, etc. All I got back were my contacts, and that was only thanks to the fact I'd backed it up with Google, as well as the manufacturer's 'cloud' (I'll be able to get my photos back from Google too hopefully). To cap it all, the bugs still weren't fixed, and I couldn't even make a phone call. I haven't got a clue what phone to buy to replace it, so just had a quick look online, and ordered a "cheap" £200 phone for now  Hope everyone else is having a less stressful day

Hopefully they clear it up soon. I wish I could help because I have experience troubleshooting and maintaining boilers.
