Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The most obvious benefit is the tip is easier to get into the cutting material.
Another benefit is that a straight edge blade is easier to sharpen and maintain.
The Lambsfoot also has benefits over other straight edge style blades that are more common.
The blade is thinner than a Sheepsfoot that lets it fit into more tight spaces, and it has a more robust tip than a Wharncliffe.
Thanks! I've learned something - the day is not lost!

That’s what I thought. Wasn’t sure

Not bad at all, Jack.👍🏻

I love that song. It’s so goofy And playful. Thanks for the “Triple-Rat Lamb appreciation.

A splendid assortment of beautiful Spring in Yorkshire images. Your vexations are starting to fade away. Yay!
Many thanks Harvey, I've appreciated having a shoulder to lean on :)
Wow, I've got a lot to catch up on! Looking forward to doing that later today.

In the meantime, breakfast at lunch time!

(I may have gone a bit heavy with the smoked paprika in the hash browns. ;))
Wow, that looks very tasty my friend, I love smoked paprika! :)
Thank you, my friend. :)

It's like riding a bike. 😁

Glorious picture, Jack. 🤠
I always enjoy the stone bridge pictures especially.
Stone Bridges and Old Trains, I wonder what that say about me?
Thanks buddy, I can never resist taking a photo of an old stone bridge or viaduct :)

Looking good. We must have had a Karma connection. I just had a poached egg on toast with salt and pepper and green tobasco sauce for breakfast.

Happy Saturday Guardians! Carrying my Charlie Lamb.

I’m really excited about those Alber Cutlery Lambsfoot knives. I’m sure those will be harder to land than any GEC. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Great pic Taylor, hope you're having an equally great day :) I'm also looking forward to seeing Eric's version. Isn't it great the way the popularity of the Lambsfoot has grown?
Eggs for breakfast, Charlie Lambs in the pocket, there's definitely some kind of Guardian magic going on today :D ;)

Hey Duncan, how's the Big Move going mate?
Hi Jack
My friend it’s been terribly insane, Trying to finish my work to the point whoever takes over finds it all ready +
Then working on our Home in Pukekohe to get it ready to sell - as well as move out of the house we are staying in- whew!
We gave arrived to our new Home town - now we need to unpack. 😫
Please forgive my absence my friend.

Pàdruig Pàdruig i would like to enter your awesome GAW! I am new to the lamb world (thanks to Todd), and would love to have a shot at one of Jack’s SFO’s. My Jack Black Jack Black story occurred shortly after Stan Shaw’s passing. There was a tribute thread and Jack mentioned that Stan was a firm believer in slamming your knives shut. At the time, I was relatively new to collecting traditionals, and I was babying all of my slipjoints and easing them to close. After interacting with Jack and hearing him tell how Stan enjoyed slamming them closed, from that day forward, I have been closing my knives the Stan Shaw way. Really made me get a lot more enjoyment out of my knives, mainly due to the satisfaction of the sounds they make and the alligator snap. Thank you for that, Jack!!

Has anyone seen Dan, { Cello Dan } posting anywhere??? I have not seen any of his posts for ages.

Sometimes I surprise myself.
That looks like a treat Taylor! :) Tasty-looking WCLF too ;)
I'll be excited for the sixth or seventh drop... when everybody else has theirs and i stand a chance to get one.

Won't even get you close.;)
🤣
Yea, landing an Albers is really tough. In all reality not worth my time. I just like looking at the pics. He makes some amazing looking knives.
They're fabulous knives, but I'm happy just enjoying other folks pics :) I can't cope with the lolly-scramble, but hope a few Guardians manage to snag one :) The blade profile looks perfect (Eric's pic)

I tagged him in my post yesterday Leon, and in another thread. I do hope he's alright, I miss his great contributions

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I mentioned a pal of mine having Covid a couple of weeks back. He is a young, fit guy, whose had all his shots, but it laid him, and his missus, out for a couple of weeks. He's on the mend now, I'm pleased to say. Despite the promise of 10 days of sunshine, it's a bit of a dull start to the day here, but hopefully it'll brighten up. I'm on my own this weekend, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I certainly have plenty of jobs to do in the house  I hope everyone else has a lovely Sunday

I found myself thinking of @CelloDan while I was out on my hike today, hope he's doing alright
Wonderful photos of spring in the country. Very sharp photo of you HHB with the many colored Crocuses. Here in NC we seem to have moved from winter into summer and skipped springtime. Spring and Fall are my favorite times of the year for various reasons. While we have our spring flowers blooming the temperature is approaching and even exceeding the 80 degrees F.
