One of my favorite parts of our day was the various pubs we visited, which included The Fat Cat, Kelham Island Tavern, The Bath Hotel and the Sheffield Tap. I could've sworn there were one or two others, but those are the pubs I remember specifically.
Now I don’t say that the pubs were one of my favorite parts just because I absolutely love sitting down to a pint in a real English pub (which, of course, I do). It’s actually because these were the moments when got Jack and I got to sit down and just talk as friends. We talked about our lives, we talked about movies, we talked about knives, of course. Several of y’all came up in conversation (mostly good things, I promise).

Jack is 100% the genuine, wonderful person you get here on the forum, and I’m still so thankful that we got to spend the day together. Thanks again, Jack!

I remember when you posted about your trip when it happened. Thanks for sharing the story again! Pub crawling and chatting with Jack definitely sounds like it would be a treat!
Wonderful giveaway, Dylan. Not an entry. My ironwood lambsfoot might be my favourite, but haven't used it much. Too pretty! Think I'll start carrying it and using it.
I don't spend as much time on the forum as I used to, but when I check in I have to look in on the Guardians thread. It feels like...home.
Good to see ya here, Vince!
Totally agree. If it's on the menu, it's what I'm ordering. No need to peruse further.
Wow, you guys really pulled out all the stops yesterday

Looks delicious Greg
Thanks, Jack!
Good morning Guardians, I was glad to get a good night's sleep last night, and not be woken up numerous times by the whining of my boiler! Getting it fixed is a big weight off my shoulders, and I am glad not to be tied-down waiting in for guys coming to fix it.
Huzzah!
Thanks Jack!
Good morning Guardians, with pleasure I would like to introduce a new Lamb to the flock. This is a M. May I received last night in O1 and bog oak…

Oh, wow. That bog oak is stunning! Congrats!
Thank you, Harvey. And speaking of looking fantastic....
Good Morning Guardians / Newby
.... this one sure does. Others have commented on the covers. The long-pull nail nick caught my eye. I don't recall seeing that on many (any?) other lambsfoot blades. Very cool.
Orange you glad for a lambsfoot?
I noticed that same thing! I'm just now finally getting caught up.
Happy Friday Guardians. Tonight’s “cocktail” been addicted to this. Topo Chico and lime!
Can't go wrong with sparkling water, a lime, and a stunner like that to do the slicing!
It's supposed to start raining here in a bit, so figure I'll do some home projects today.
Did you get much rain your way, John? The forecast was the same here, but we didn't get nearly as much as I was hoping.
The light sprinkle we had in the morning did make for fantastic conditions for a trail run right before lunch time, though. Fortunately we had intermittent rain later in the day, too, but still not al ot.
The most obvious benefit is the tip is easier to get into the cutting material.
Another benefit is that a straight edge blade is easier to sharpen and maintain.
The Lambsfoot also has benefits over other straight edge style blades that are more common.
The blade is thinner than a Sheepsfoot that lets it fit into more tight spaces, and it has a more robust tip than a Wharncliffe.
Fantastic summary, John. I can't think of anything that I'd add. Except that I wish I'd thought of Jack's round-up comment.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday

At last, spring seems to have finally sprung in Yorkshire!
Looks like you had a wonderful day! Glad you were finally able to get out and enjoy it!
Not a snack.

That's eatin' good and looks amazing.
Thanks, that's high praise coming from you as someone who knows how to eat. And, yeah, definitely not a snack. It probably more than offset that trail run that I mentioned.
Wow, that looks very tasty my friend, I love smoked paprika!
Thanks, and it was, and me too!
Looking good. We must have had a Karma connection. I just had a poached egg on toast with salt and pepper and green tobasco sauce for breakfast.
Oh, wow, no kidding. Man, I haven't had poached eggs on toast for a long time, but that used to be a go-to for me.
It's also funny about the tabasco: I normally would have gone with (red) tabasco for this dish, but had just recently purchased that bottle to try out. It tastes fairly similar to green tabasco, now that you've mentioned it...
Sometimes I surprise myself.
Oh wow. Tasty!
Good Morning Guardians
I have a small hike with the wife and the pup planned for this morning.
Later today we will meet some friends for Luncheon and Mexican Train.
Speaking of karma connections. This morning my wife, dog, and I also went for a hike. And then we finished it up with a meal from a Mexican restaurant.
I hope you enjoyed your hike, lunch, and the game with friends. Like Jack, I had to look it up, but it sounds like fun!
