Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Not to beat a dead horse, but to further the knowledge.
I've added this picture to further illustrate my point... for those that might be unclear.
These are various straight edge knives. Notice how the tip is well into the cutting material on all but one... The Charlie Lamb.

Hope Jack doesn't mind me linking an outside thread, but I couldn't post pictures of non-Lambsfoot blades here and it is about a Lambsfoot discussion.
I'll be happy to delete it if it's found inappropriate for this thread.
Good picture John, it illustrates your point well :)

There is a slight difference, in cant, between my two. I'll take a better pic if anyone is interested

Super busy day. I even missed my dental appointment getting caught up in everything. Hope y’all are doing well
Yikes! It's been hard to get a dental appointment here the past couple of years :( Hope you're not suffering at all Jon  Nice pic there
Thanks Jack, I'm glad this week is turning out better for you.
Thanks a lot Jeremy, having a good week :)
Good discussion on personal opinions of the Lambsfoot Knives, its good because the Talk stayed healthy and we should be able to disagree without getting personal - it shows the caliber of Great guys we have here.
I personally love all my Lambsfoot Knives, I am extremely excited as I unpacked my collection and this afternoon I will choose my first EDC in Napier - I want to make it a slightly different and brave one - one that may decide on a few queens coming out perhaps - I always think brave like this but then at the moment it's... weeeeeeeeeelllllll maybe not this EDC lol.
I want to get out one of my big Lambsfoot - which one I don't know yet - I need to get a little more unpacking done before I have fun.

Have a great day Guardians - LOVE this thread!
It's nice to have some Lambsfoot discussion! :D ;) Congratulations on the Big Move Duncan, I hope you settle into your new home OK my friend :) Look forward to seeing your Big 'Un of choice! :D

Enjoyed the video clip Jack. Blood results turned out good. I've been jabbed in the arm so many times that I don't even feel it anymore.LOL. Tasty looking sandwich and a nice photo of your HHB I might add.
Thanks Bill, you won't have any problem finding the full version, if you're interested, as it's quite famous here :) You sound like a Human Dartboard buddy! Hope everything is well. Thanks for the kind words :)
Been doing a new edge on this one. She's really sharp now. 🤯🤯🤯

Nice to see Old Faithful John! :D
Handsome Big 'Un Jer :)
Good morning Guardians. Thunderstorms rumbled through the area last evening and now into today. Had to cancel my golf today but good weather will be coming eventually. My Ebony Jack Black SFO keeping me company today.

Sorry to hear your game was cancelled Bill, I hope you're back to good weather soon :) I was discussing our sunny weather with the Polish woman on the market bread-stall, and she told me "Enjoy nice weather, next week be back to English weather!" :D Nice photo :)
Good Morning Guardians
Gorgeous Thomas Turner Harvey

Hope everyone is having a nice day. It's been fun down at the market, though I'm pretty worn out now. Thought this old paraffin heater/cooker was pretty cool

As i only have the jigged bone i had nothing to compare the difference in the cant. But your picture really shows the difference, but that being said, my jigged bone is a fantastic slicer, and i presume the Ebony would be as well. Personally the difference in cant in all Lambsfoot knives makes no difference to me, they were made as and still are just great all round work knives.
It's nice to have some Lambsfoot discussion!
Absolutely. I and i would say everyone else here at the Guardians love reading about everything Lambsfoot. I always enjoy reading different perspectives and thoughts and opinions on this great style of cutlery. You never stop learning as my Dad used to say.

Great photo and memories, and that heater is in great condition. You are very lucky Jack to have a market where you can go and see these old objects. We have some here, but not close to me, i have to travel a fair way to see that sort of market.

I love it! 😍
I especially like that they have Spiderman front-and-center.
As they well should! :D ;)

I don't know if the differences are consistent between the two different models, but it'd be interesting to see other examples :)

Your dad was a wise feller my friend :)

Thanks mate :) Sadly, I doubt the market will be there in a decade :(
I think waynorth needs another run of those so i can get one! Probably one of my favorite gec’s I’ve seen
That would certainly be nice to see :)

Good Morning Guardians

Man that's sweet! Harvey - what a beauty

Isn't it funny how we "Morph" into different mind sets with our collecting, years ago I remember the Lambsfoot not being something that grabbed my attention - now when you look back you think " what on Earth was I thinking" - that comes into many areas of collecting when we realise we sold Knives in the past we should have held onto as well, well the Lambsfoot is a knife that is something awesome, Sheffield has a hug part of my way of thinking when it comes to knives.

I was going through my Lambsfoot lot and I just could not go past my Hartshead, I am looking forward this loved Knife traveling with me for some time

Sheffield has a hug part of my way of thinking when it comes to knives.
When we were young, and i am assuming here, which one should never do, you and i both lived in countries that still had strong links to England, they were our major trading partner, the Mother Country. So my only access to knives was from Sheffield, i never saw a Case knife, my first introduction to American knives was Buck, but that was not until the 1970's. When i was in NZ over 45 years ago nearly every car was English, so it is only natural that you have an affinity with Sheffield knives. Impressions made in childhood last a lifetime.
