Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thought I'd add a few photos of the ruined old church (built between 1256 and 1260), which can be seen on some of my photos of the Pace-egg Play.

The new church, next to it, dates to the mid 19th century.

After watching the first performance of the 2022 Heptonstall Pace-egg Play, having a pint in The White Lion, and buying a couple of sausage-rolls from a stall in the street, we headed back down to Hebden Bridge. It was rather overcrowded unfortunately, but we checked out a couple of antique shops, and had a coffee, before walking to the park, for an ice-cream, and returning to the station

After all the rain we've had this year, it's been nice just to get out, and stay dry! :D Thank you :)
Can't think of a better Easter Lunch. 🤠

Wonderful Stone Bridge. 🤠
It must be so great living in an area with so much history to investigate.
Thanks for all the pictures, they were very enjoyable, and I hope you have a wonderful Easter, my friend. :)
Thanks mate :)

There are some great stone bridges in that area :) Here's another pic of the same one, (built 1510), taken on a quieter day

Thank you very much John, the same to you :) We have even more history here than we do rain! :D

Our neighboring town used to be nothing but a very large cattle ranch. The ranch was full of small streams and the owner had built small stone bridges to be able to drive to all parts of his ranch. The area has since been bought up and developed but many of the old stone bridges still remain. The area is known as Twelve Bridges.

That's really cool John 😎 Thanks for the history my friend 🙂👍
My daughter made some deviled eggs for our meal today. The pink ones were soaked in beat juice overnight. They look great, hope they taste good. 😊View attachment 1795037
Enjoy your eggs Todd, they've made for a great pic too 🙂👍
