Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Aldi would have different suppliers from around the globe i would suspect.
Yes, I reckon so mate, otherwise it wouldn't be economically viable, as they say :D

I bought some spicy Spanish sausages a couple of weeks ago, quite pricey, but I enjoyed them, and thought I'd buy some more. I didn't enjoy these as much though, they were OK, but not as firm, and less spicy. Ah well, still nice to have a Sunday Sausage Sammich! :D

I always meant to make my own sausage, to minimize the bone-chips and gristle-wads, but I never got around to it.
The vegan sausage at Meijer's chews like space food sticks.
Costco had some vegan sausage that chewed and tasted good, but I don't get in there often. And when I do it isn't at a time when the line at the cashiers is worth the wait. Wah.
Kirkland jeans are still the best. I'd better get some more before they change their minds.

Old [pic; I'll be late to my soundboard as it is.

Hope the quarantine is nearly at an end Joe  It's great to see you here, that's an outstanding collection  Is that a crack in the cover of your TEW?

Thanks John :)

I see vintage King Dick tools, but only bought the Richards tool because of my interest in the company. There's plenty of info about them online, including several videos

I was really pleased to see it thriving Leon :)

That sounds like a bargain mate :) Are those Ritz crackers over on the right? By coincidence, I had some with cheddar last night, with an Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon :)

I was very wary myself! But fear not! :D

Here's a link to avoid any anxiety! 🤣 ;)

Fabulous photos Dan, it looks like you're having a wonderful time :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a most excellent weekend ;) My mate's lad got a kid's bow, and arrows, for his birthday, and is eager to show it to me, so we're off to the woods this afternoon. Hopefully, me and his dad can get a pint in on the way back ;) I'm sticking with my Hartshead Barlow :) Have a great Sunday everyone

Jack, it looks as though you are having a nice weekend and I really enjoyed all the photos of the market and countryside. I hope your little friend enjoys his birthday present. Your HHB has been a great companion - I like this photo very much.

Good morning Guardians. Just watching the final 45 minutes of Lemans. My HHB keeping me company today.

Have a good time, but watch out for the Sheriff of Nottingham’s men.🤣
Good morning Guardians! Hope that you are staying cool. I had to break down and turn on the furnace this morning. That’s summer in the City. Natures AC is the best!

Hi Dan. Lambfoot looking good.

Good Morning Guardians
Heading out to my Niece's High School graduation party.
A rosewood Lambfoot is a perfect carry for today’s pomp and circumstance.

I can remember mincing the meat for my grandmother as a young kid, but I've never made sausages myself. I've had vegetarian/vegan sausages where the only thing they had in common with sausages was the overall shape, but one or two that were pretty good too, though quite expensive

Hope you made it OK Jer :)
I haven't had a Sausage Sammich in a while, might have to have one for breakfast. 🤠
Good for you John ;)
Morning Guardians. Took a Lambsfoot with me to the rodeo last night. A team roping pic for John.

Very cool  It looks like a great night out. A few years back, I was lucky enough to have an extended correspondence with Dave Horsewright Horsewright , and he told me all sorts of stuff about roping, which I found absolutely fascinating  Dave is a Guardian too

Congratulations to your niece John, and I hope it was a good 'do' :)
Thanks and sure did enjoy it. Cowboys had a rough night. I'm sure the livestock is still laughing this morning about all the cowboys they put in the dirt. 🤣
Hard way to earn a living! :)

Great-looking Lamb :)

Thanks buddy 🤣
Good Morning Guardians
Superb photo my friend :)

I hope everyone is having a lovely day :) After giving my mate's lad, Cillian, his birthday presents, we headed out with his dad, mom, and little sister. When Cillian got bored with the bow, we moved on to slingshots, and eventually, onto a local brewery tap for a couple of pints :)

The intensity of his Son’s expression say how much he treasured his Birthday gift.

Greetings, Guardians! I spent Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on a solo backpacking trip in Yosemite National Park. My destination was Laurel Lake, which is accessed from a trail head in the Hetch Hetchy area of the park.

Here was the view of Hetch Hetchy Reservoir from atop the dam:

From there, you go through a tunnel cut in the rock and hike along the left side of the reservoir before taking a sharp left and beginning a long series of switchbacks.

Being Yosemite, there is a lot of granite. My lambsfoot couldn't resist taking a break on a boulder:

Eventually most of my elevation gain was behind me and I came across a bit of water.

The tip marks the spot:

Eventually I made it to Frog Creek and a knee-deep crossing:

And finally to Laurel Lake, my camp for two nights:

Since we like to talk about food, here's a selection of meals that I had, all home dehydrated:

Red beans and rice with some smoked meat sticks from Costco, steel-cut oats with pecans, "cowboy caviar" from a recipe in Adventure Journal, and mac&cheese with broccoli and ground beef.

It was a great trip and the lambsfoot was a trusty companion.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a great week ahead!
