Pete, I’m a stout fan. How would you rate the Imperial Stout?
I'm not Pete, but I am a stout fan. I rate the Sam Smith pretty high - it's not as good as Old Rasputin or Abyss, but I'd put it on par with Obsidian. (Which gives you some idea of what stouts I like, so you can index my recommendations against your own preferences. )

That's turned out really nice LeonAfter i let this dry for a couple of weeks, gave it a polish with a few coats of Renwax. Looks so much better, hard to tell from the photo though.
It was a very interesting project to view from afar my friend I like the stouts too Tyson, particularly the Imperial, though only the Oatmeal Stout is available on draught. I'm not a cider fan, but maybe I'll give it a try some time. Another Yorkshire brewery, Theakson's, used to make a pear cider, until the late 1970's, and it was superb
