Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

After i let this dry for a couple of weeks, gave it a polish with a few coats of Renwax. Looks so much better, hard to tell from the photo though.    .

I can get a couple of Mr. Smith’s brews here.

Nut Brown
Imperial Stout
Organic Chocolate
Apple cider
Pear cider

They are all great. In my 20’s I drank the Nut Brown almost every weekend.

The Sam Smith beers are really good (especially the stout), but their pear cider is amazing - probably my second favorite cider, with a big gap between that and whatever would be in 3rd place. (Hemly's Original Pear is clearly in first place - I think it's probably what the angels in heaven use to wash down their manna.)

Pete, I’m a stout fan. How would you rate the Imperial Stout?
I'm not Pete, but I am a stout fan. I rate the Sam Smith pretty high - it's not as good as Old Rasputin or Abyss, but I'd put it on par with Obsidian. (Which gives you some idea of what stouts I like, so you can index my recommendations against your own preferences. )

Not that it tastes like Obsidian - I'd just rate them about the same.

Old Rasputin! Mmmmmmm. Dark and murky!

Great stuff Pete, I have had all their ales, but not the ciders. THe Nut Brown is excellent I think :)
I find cigar smoke more effective! 🤣
🤣

That's turned out really nice Leon :) It was a very interesting project to view from afar my friend

I like the stouts too Tyson, particularly the Imperial, though only the Oatmeal Stout is available on draught. I'm not a cider fan, but maybe I'll give it a try some time. Another Yorkshire brewery, Theakson's, used to make a pear cider, until the late 1970's, and it was superb :) Nice Lambsfoot buddy :)

I've also had better, but still think it's an excellent Imperial Stout :) I like their Stingo too

Good morning Guardians, just quickly checking in, before I leave for the market, a bit later than usual. Hope everyone has a good day :)

That looks very good Jack. I’ll be asking the local shop if they can get a few
It's quite pricey Pete, but worth a try I think :)
Your '18 seems to be seeing a lot of pocket-time Jer :)
I hope you were able to have fun at the Market even though your Buddy won't be there. 🤠
Thanks John, it's certainly been glorious weather here today :) I hung around with pals on the market for a few hours, and then I was meeting an old friend in the indoor food hall, for a bite to eat and a catch-up, so it hasn't been a bad day :)
Good Morning Guardians
I felt like carrying my sturdy Horn Big 'Un today.
That's some great-looking horn John, your knife is taking on some nice character my friend :)
Cool action shot of your Rosewood Lamb Todd ;) :)

Looks great John, been cutting some steak?
Thank you, Todd. :)
Yes, I've cut some steak, some sausage, some apple, among other stuff.
Great picture, Todd. 🤠
Looks like a nice restful morning after all the work you've been doing.

Thank you, Jack. :)
It's nice to have another Lambsfoot that I like as much as my African Rosewood, it gives me choices. 😁
