Good morning Guardians, I'm sure most of our regulars are looking forward to a special 3-day weekend, so I hope you have a great time, along with the rest of us stuck with just a 2-day weekend! :D I hope we're going to see some great pics from the celebrations in the USA :) I was thinking of going to a car-boot sale today, but I reckon I have enough junk in my house as it is! :rolleyes: :D I do need to go and buy some groceries, and do a few other dull things, so I'm just going to take it easy I think ;) Have a great Saturday Guardians :) :thumbsup:

Very nice photo of you WCLF Jack. Thanks for the well wishes for our 3 day holiday here across the pond. This morning it is pouring cats and dogs. Can't complain because we've been in a drought situation here in NC. I've been busy assembling four Adirondack chairs that will be stationed around our new fire pit. Been doing all the work in the garage and out of the weather. My HHB is helping me out.

Good morning Guardians. Hopefully the rain will stop for the fourth. Planning on attending the obligatory cook-out at a good friend's home. Fireworks and all. I'm sure that other countries celebrate their independence the same as the U.S....by blowing up a small piece of it.😄

I don’t know. The cart boot sounds like a hoot. Although I avoid crowds these days for a variety of reasons.😱 I used to go to those things all the time. Always a good time. Even if I didn’t buy a thing. Have a fine weekend with Charlie et al.👍🏻

Thanks Harvey, that car boot is also on on Wednesdays, and I told Tool Man I'd go along with him this week, to see if he can find any tools, so hopefully I can take everyone along ;) :thumbsup:

Many large public events have been more or less cancelled here these past 2 years, but a friend told me that there was some stuff going on in town for Armed Forces Day here today. I headed in, and it was pretty busy. I chatted to a few folks, and was quite impressed with a trio - The Daisy Belles - who were belting out Rock & Roll classics. Unfortunately, I realised I had forgotten my camera, so I was only able to take a couple on my phone, and I was at the back of the crowd.

In conversation with one of the servicemen, I learned that a Lancaster Bomber was due to fly over later in the day. I quickly did some shopping, and headed back home to get my camera. Back in town, I learned that I'd missed the fly-past, as the Lancaster had turned up 2 1/2 hours early! :confused: I couldn't believe I'd missed it! :( I'll be sending a Yorkshire Bomber to Lancaster to exact vengeance tomorrow! 🤨


The Belles were back on stage, but performing very different material. Land of Hope and Glory is not exactly a toe-tapper! :D

Having missed lunch to go and get my camera, I was feeling hungry, and since I haven't had one in ages, I thought a good curry might assuage my disappointment. I went to a place a couple of friends had recommended, but can't say I was impressed I'm afraid :( Hope everyone else is having a good day :thumbsup:

Phone pics are great. Would have liked to have seen a short vid clip of the singers. I knew you would come up with a fun journey to share with us.

Happy Saturday Guardians, my new Lambsfoot arrived today from across the pond. Overall pretty happy with it. Good F&F with a pull of about a seven or so. Blade is nicely centered, it does have a few marks on it but I'm not bothered about that. Nice Ebony handles :thumbsup:
