Beautiful knife and pen Harvey! As a retired teacher we may need to work a little on your letter formation and spacial organization.

Thanks Harvey I have the Barbour hanging up, out of the way, in a spare room. It still smells a bit, but it doesn't have the foul stench it had previously. Since it is going to need re-waxing, I may give it another dunking in the peroxide/vinegar solution. Then I'll either send it off to be re-waxed, or do the job myself

That's gone too fast Here, the school summer holidays only started today. Public transport is best avoided for the first week, until grandma and granddad get back in their stride!

They left that building many years ago, but were one of the last Sheffield cutlery firms to shut up shop. Stan Shaw used to sometimes do work for them, and Mrs Slater used to occasionally visit him at his workshop at the museum. Sadly, our visits never coincided

A few weeks back, I was in the city centre, when I saw a group of about 10 young Muslim girls. They were wearing headscarves, but over these they had steam punk top hats and goggles! It would have made a great photo!

Very good! When I was a kid, as soon as school broke up for the summer, there were signs going up, in clothing and stationery shops typically, saying 'Back to Skool!' I used to hate them!

Did a little bit more work on the cover with my sand papers. Decided to ease the corners a bit more and it feels super smooth in my hands with no sharp edges to dig into my fingers.
