Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Gah! I'm too dizzy to finish watching and too queasy to make a chip butty, now!
Why did they keep cutting away from the perfectly good mounted camera to the hand-held? (sorry, it's one of my pet peeves, as I'm prone to motion sickness)

I might just have to pick up some potatoes and bread to give it a try this weekend.
I did start watching a video about a Texas woman who was going to make a chip butty 😁 She went to What-A-Burger! 😎 It really needed editing though 🙄 Go for it Rachel! 😎😊👍

So I finally have a lambfoot knife. A Taylor Shark. I'm not sure. but I think this is a Stewart Taylor design. This one is from 1979. I haven't found anybody else doing one like this, and he resurrected it as the Land Shark when he obtained the Schrade name. The tang stamp says "Kingsport, Tenn", but I think it was made in Japan. In the late seventies/early eighties, and maybe beyond, Taylor had the habit of lightly etching "Japan" on the tang in such a manner that it would easily wear off. OTOH this knife looks unused. Its extremely clean with no wear whatsoever. I still think Japan, because I don't think he ever manufactured any knives in the U.S., but I suppose he could have contracted some out to one of the cutlery companies in business at the time.

This one is a pretty nice knife. Nice stag. No wobble. Half-stop. Good snap closing. A little soft opening. Walk is a little gritty. Small gaps. Blade isn't anywhere close to centered. Something different than my other knives.

And my very first lambfoot

Good evening Guardians. I have not been posting on the forum since last Saturday because I had a heart attack. Very scary and crushing pain. Ended up getting a stent. There won't be much knife play for this old bird because of the high doses of two different anti-coagulants and the treat of bleeding. Tried shaving my self today and the bathroom looked like a crime scene there was so much blood. I'll be laying low for the next couple of days/weeks. I thank God for the skilled surgeon who worked on me. I'll be posting some recycled photos for awhile and hopefully keep up with the posts.

God speed to you! The Porch will be praying for you 🙏.

Don't judge me for having leftovers for breakfast.
That would be a lovely breakfast with three fried eggs on top. Yep....THREE
I'm not sure whether or not I'll be going to the market tomorrow, going to have to see how my back is in the morning. If I do go, I probably won't stay down there all day. My mate, Tool Man, gave me this bottle of Porter last week, so I thought I'd give it a try tonight, and I think I'm going to watch an old movie while I drink it :)

That's a fascinating piece of cutlery history there Mike. He may have used it in some unorthodox frames, but Taylor definitely seems to have had an appreciation for the Lambsfoot blade 👍
Thanks, Jack. I appreciate that  It already has. Weekend camp trip looming :)
That's something to look forward to buddy 🙂👍
George is looking smart Jack!
As ever! 😉😁👍
Stunning photo of that gorgeous Lambsfoot Barlow my friend 🙂👍
Jack Black Jack Black You better sort these people out and explain what a chip butty is. Some of the suggestions here are down right sacrilege. Going to be off line for a few days, i hope. So have a good weekend everyone.
LOL! 😁 Take care Leon, and have a good weekend yourself mate 🙂👍
