Sorry to hear that your back is still acting up. I hope you get relief soon. I like your photo. Nice Rosewood LF. I also took not of the airgun magazine. I own several collectable air rifles and have owned dozens more. The British are well know for their fine airguns. My favorites are Theobens. Shame they don't make them anymore. Daystate is another supplier that I favor.

Thanks Bill, it's gone on longer than expected. I'll be glad to be able to get back to normal, and to be able to go out and pick my blackberries! It would be nice to see some of your airguns sometime. It is a shame about Theoben. Many years ago, when I had a small cutlery business, I spent a lot of time developing the HT for a particular Sheffied steel. A specialist vacuum-hardeners were extremely helpful in the project, and I had a good working relationship with them. They told me that they had worked with Theoben when they were first starting out, helping them develop their inert gas system (I hope I've remembered that correctly), which would not have been possible without the vacuum-hardening

I'm afraid that my sciatica is worse

I want to say there should be something that can be done about sciatica, but maybe there isn't. You will have investigated it.

It's another hot and humid day here, though the turkey vultures are gone and the blackbirds are massing to migrate, if they haven't left already. My apple tree has blushing fruit and sere leaves from the reaper's whispering scythe.

On a happier note, my acoustic bass arrived Friday and I already have new sore muscles from it, and my neighbors across the street had this gigbag that fits my bass, which they weren't using and they don't remember why they have it.
Just try to find a bag to fit an acoustic bass that doesn't cost more than I would pay for the acoustic bass.

It's hard to know when to recommence stretching, and I find myself tempted, as I did last night, as my back was feeling considerably better. Unfortunately, that probably explains why it is worse today

And anyway, if the winter doesn't kill us it will cool us off, and Spring is right around the corner!

I found the big bad hoe I've been looking for for three years. It was back in the corner with the bicycles. I'm going to seize an extra couple hours at the farm and try it out on the mugwort.

Thank you very much Kerry, I saw a few different specialists, and had a round of physio in 2019, but it only lasted a few months. I have a different doctor now, so I might go back and ask for some more x-rays. It's really hard getting any form of medical treatment here at the moment, unfortunately
