With the old cake stall now gone, I went on a cake hunt with Tool Man! We came back with an egg custard and an apple pie. I was disappointed with the apple pie though, which was so crumbly, I had to eat a 'slice' with a spoon! Hope everyone is having a good day

Thanks, Dwight! After Harry, Old Engineer , let me fiddle around with his Taylor’s Eye Witnesses, I jumped at the chance to bid on this one. Best of all, the knife was hardly used, but the Bexoidscales were broken and no one else bid on it. I used some black walnut I’d had in a box since the ‘80s that I picked up down your way when I lived down there. It’s a small scrap cut off of a fancy gun stock blank at Bishop’s Gunstocks, in Warsaw, Missouri.

I'm never out without a hat Jeff, I took my cap off in the market the other week for a bit, and I must have had half a dozen surprised-sounding people telling me they had thought I was bald!

And thanks! Good to be back. I toted my Case for several days, and when I checked back in here this morning I was seventy eleven pages behind!

Thought I'd post a picture of my 2-blade Lambfoot. These knives get knocked because some find them difficult to open not because of the pull (effort to open) but the placement of the nail nicks. I'll grant that some of them can be a bit difficult to open but they are built like a tank and can endure any task they're called upon to do. This is my last one and I won't be parting with it. I kinda wish I had another one but maybe it would be greedy for me to want another.

When I practice adult thinking, I ask myself,
“Why get another one? You haven’t worn this one out yet?”

I have to practice things I’m not very good at.

Looks as if "Big Rose" has some work to do. Shame the apple pie was so crumbly. My late mom used to make them such that you could cut a piece and hold it in your hand eating it without making a mess.

Hell! Winter’s coming ~ grow a full beard to keep warm!

So I got out the shears, and buzzed around my ears so that hats wouldn’t make the hair over my ears flip up like wings. Of course Vik pointed out areas of butchery in the back. Even though I can’t see the back, so it’s tempting to say who cares, I guess I’ll try to fix it.
But now, my hats don’t make me have side wings…

Jeff, that is certainly the best compliment anyone has ever given me! I've used clippers most of my adult life, but started going to see Barber Brian a couple of years ago, mainly because he's a nice bloke, and I don't want to see him go out of business! Nice work my friend, and great pics, the hat suits you

Well, you look none the less for wear Jack Jack Black and you seem not to have withered away during your fight with Covid and you've still got your hair.
