There used to be a company here called Thornton's, who made the most amazing fudge and toffee, and had shops in nearly every Yorkshire town (turns out they're still going, but just online) :) Back in the early to mid 80's, I was a youth-worker, and worked out of a community centre in Sheffield. They toured the factory, and before they left, were each presented with a 2lb box of Thornton's Special Toffee. Unfortunately, most of them wore dentures, and couldn't eat toffee, so Alan came back with so many boxes they were stacked up in front of his sticky face! About a year later, Alan started going to the pub, and I have never seen anyone who could drink a pint so fast, people bought him them just to see it! :rolleyes: :D

I won’t lie, I had to look up DAB radio. I’d never heard of it before. 🙃
 
Good morning Guardians. Headed out to the links on this chilly morning. Hate playing in cold weather but it will be warming up quickly. :) Jack Black Jack Black asked me if I ever show my HHB to my friends? Answer to that question is yes - all the time. I get a lot of different comments on it too. Some people are surprised that I carry a knife. Mostly city folk who view knives as weapons:rolleyes:.

Have fun on the links Bill!

I cringe at the the cringers who think pocket knives are weapons. Perhaps they don’t have an imagination, I mean any ball point pen or pencil is also a potential weapon not to mention the 1,500 pounds of steel they drive around. Sheesh 🙄

Really? Not a bad thing, a bit of a con-trick, they digitised a number of radio channels, and now we all have to pay for more expensive radios, which use a lot more power to run :rolleyes:
