Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians! This morning is kind of a bitter sweet one , we are about to lay to rest a good friend of mine, myself along with 5 others have the honor and privilege of pallbearing; carrying him to his final resting place . He suffered for a long time so it’s bitter sweet , you hate to say good bye , but you are thankful the pain is gone .

May you always carry great memories of your friend. Sorry for his family's and your loss.

Good morning Guardians, Hope everyone is feeling well. I’ve had 25% of the kids absent from my first two classes today. It typically goes up as the day goes on because kids are sick and they leave school. Going to get my vitamins and keep my hands clean for sure. 😊👍View attachment 2010830

I wish you luck dodging the germs Todd.
It could be worse you could be the school nurse.🫡

Wonderful view of your day. Be well my friend.
Many thanks Harvey :)
Bout noon time Guardians! Ethan is helping out today. Stay Frosty!

Have a great day David :)
This morning I did some errands and picked up some spear lilies which I got ready for the vase with my lambsfoot. We’ve been getting some rain which is very much needed. Now I’m happy to be enjoying a cup of coffee sitting out back with my cat. The turkeys have yet to come around but so far besides the usual finches and sparrows the quail, stellar jays and scrub jays have made appearances. The deer are pretty used to me and get pretty close but I haven’t seen them yet. The skunks are around at night but so far I’ve prevented them from taking residence under the cabin. Here’s a pic.

Your photo really captures the scene Dwight, as well as your faithful Hartshead Barlow :) May I ask what the berries are?
Time to thaw out after golf. Starting to break in this new lamb.

Thank you Jack. The berries are privet hedge. Poisonous to humans.

Thanks for the info Dwight, privet hedges are common here, (less so than in the past I think), as suburban garden boundaries, but the berries are not commonly seen
Afternoon Guardians, I hope everyone is having a good day !

Put the TEW in my pocket after work 👍

Great choice Steve, what's the doohickey?
Prompt: A Daguerreotype Portrait, Mathew Brady style of a lamb in the field.
Thank you Harvey :)

Good morning Guardians, I was up from 4.00am yesterday, and fell asleep early, while waiting for the snow, which was supposed to arrive from 6.00pm. The snow never arrived, not where I live anyway. Still cold though, down in the 30's. I usually meet up with my pal on Fridays, but we haven't made any arrangements, and I have quite a few things I need to be getting on with, so I'll play it by ear. I thought I'd carry The Chieftain today :) Have a good one Guardians, it's nearly the weekend

Good morning everyone ! Thank you all for the warm wishes and condolences yesterday, everything went as well as could under the circumstances. There is just something solemn about a funeral in December around these parts , it’s almost like the sun never really shines in December.
Charlie lamb in the pocket today , thought about pairing it with something but then I thought , “why” … it has cut everything I’ve asked it to this far!
Edit: The demons ended up winning and I ended up pairing today lol
