Thanks Bill, been a good dayJack, Looks as though you trip to Charlie's was a grand success. Your Ebony Lambsfoot looking good too!
Good morning Guardians. Finally finished up Christmas shopping. I usually wait til the last minute. Last night I was sipping some of my Talisker. It's a good dram and I enjoyed it but just little tame for my taste. I tend to favor the whiskies from Islay.

Hope everyone's having a good day
After having a coffee at Charlie's I headed into town, where I had to go to the bank, post office, do some shopping, and pick up my prescription - if it gets any heavier, I'm not going to be able to carry it!
On my way back home, my pal rang me to say he was heading round to mine, so when I got back, we went inside for a while, and then I suggested going for some lunch. We headed to a local institution, a couple of miles away, Anand's Sweets, a Punjabi sweet centre, which also does excellent curries. For a long time, it was just a very inexpensive street-corner takeaway, which was very much a hidden secret. Then, a couple of years back, it won a lot of media plaudits, and national acclaim, with one cookery pundit, saying their samosas were 'The Best in the World'. I thoroughly agree with that, but preferred it when the rest of the world weren't in on the secret!
Anand's gets much busier now, and prices have crept up a bit, but the food is still inexpensive, and superb. We enjoyed a great curry each, with chapatis, and I got a bag of samosas, and some chutney to take away
