Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Looks delicious Jack. Enjoy the day!
Thanks buddy, I'm sure you're looking forward to taking some time off
Jack, Looks as though you trip to Charlie's was a grand success. Your Ebony Lambsfoot looking good too!

Good morning Guardians. Finally finished up Christmas shopping. I usually wait til the last minute. Last night I was sipping some of my Talisker. It's a good dram and I enjoyed it but just little tame for my taste. I tend to favor the whiskies from Islay.

Thanks Bill, been a good day :) Yes, it doesn't have the intensity of the Islay malts, but a good malt nonetheless I think, and very reasonably priced here :) Cool pic of your Hartshead Barlow my friend :)
Perfect timing ( what vitamin is that) and a wonderful lamb Jack.
Thanks Bob, I'm sure there's SOME vitamins in my cornetto vuoto! :D ;)

Hope everyone's having a good day :) Cold again here this morning, but I enjoyed walking down to Charlie's in my warm coat...

After having a coffee at Charlie's I headed into town, where I had to go to the bank, post office, do some shopping, and pick up my prescription - if it gets any heavier, I'm not going to be able to carry it! :D The lady in the post office gave me one of the newly-minted Ten Bob Bits, which I thought screened porch screened porch might like to see :) I reckon they've downsized those ears Jer! :D ;)

On my way back home, my pal rang me to say he was heading round to mine, so when I got back, we went inside for a while, and then I suggested going for some lunch. We headed to a local institution, a couple of miles away, Anand's Sweets, a Punjabi sweet centre, which also does excellent curries. For a long time, it was just a very inexpensive street-corner takeaway, which was very much a hidden secret. Then, a couple of years back, it won a lot of media plaudits, and national acclaim, with one cookery pundit, saying their samosas were 'The Best in the World'. I thoroughly agree with that, but preferred it when the rest of the world weren't in on the secret! ;)

Anand's gets much busier now, and prices have crept up a bit, but the food is still inexpensive, and superb. We enjoyed a great curry each, with chapatis, and I got a bag of samosas, and some chutney to take away :) I'll be having a couple for my tea! :D ;)

Nice way to start the day Pete, Blood Lamb is looking good 🙂👍
Emphasizing the jowls.
Those samosas look awfully good.
This pic is used. Sometimes I take extras, but I forget which they are.

Thanks Jer, I'm looking forward to them. Samosas aren't hard to find where I live, and I can buy good ones at the bottom of my street, but Anand's are on another level, and the pastry is amazing 🙂 They were handed to me still warm, but I was too stuffed to eat them them! 😁

I do that too! 😁 That's a great pic though 🙂👍

Carrying my Gemini horn Big'un tomorrow. Jack, hope your Holliday goes smoothly and you get some well deserved relaxation and beautiful scenery to enjoy.
Beautiful Lambfoot, Duane.
Fresh out of the oven in Charlie's 😉👍

Northern Minnesota got more than 3 feet of snow so we got off lightly in comparison 👍
Happy you missed big snow, Steve.

New or used , pic of this Lambfoot is always a pleasure to see.👍🏻

Well gang, it's gonna be a dullish Christmas for me. I haven't been told to cut out alcohol but I've noticed that with a beer or two or a shot of booze, my medications aren't as effective as they are without booze so, I haven't had a drink for some time. Too bad. Just look at all the full or nearly full bottles of booze that are going to waste on my DVD cabinet. I might have an Eggnog with a shot of bourbon Christmas Day but that'll be the extent of it. Makes a pretty picture though.

Sorry to hear this Ed :( After having Covid, I found that I lost my taste for booze, and it still hasn't entirely returned. With a large stock of malt whisky in, I'm glad I'm able to keep trying ;) Hope you enjoy what you can have, but I think you're right to put your health first

Sorry to hear that, Ed, but of course it’s best to take care of yourself first and foremost. Good thing is, those bottles should keep just fine. Hope you have a Merry Christmas even without the holiday spirits. 😉

I hope the " spirit of Christmas" gets you through the holiday Ed.
Do you want my address for those bottles.😁😁😁
Do enjoy the holiday though without too much shoveling.
Bob
