Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thought I'd carry Charlie Lamb today :) Have a good Sunday Guardians

My flight to Fuerteventura is at 8.50am on Tuesday morning, which I thought was quite a reasonable hour, until I realised that despite checking in online, and obtaining my boarding pass, I still have to be at the airport at least 3 hours before my flight  It's about a 45 minute drive to the airport, and I'll need to get up about an hour before my taxi comes, which means I'm not going to get a lot of sleep :( All part of the reason I don't travel so much anymore, and I doubt I'm alone. Sorting out Covid passes, insurance, transfers, post Brexit health cover, etc, etc has been a lot of work. 'Border Force' are on strike, and while Leeds airport isn't one of those directly affected, it may be indirectly affected. I don't mind another few days in Fuerteventura, so long as I don't have to spend them in the airport! I'm looking forward to seeing the sun again though, (forecast temperature is 75f on the day I arrive, 50 degrees higher than here), and having a break :) Apparently, wi-fi is rather patchy where I'm going, and since Britain is no longer part of the European Union, calls are expensive, but I'll try to keep in touch while I'm away. If I can't get online, I hope the Guardians will pull together, as you generally do, to keep this thread in good order  Wee Staggy will be accompanying me, so I hope he has a safe journey in my checked suitcase. I'm taking a couple of cameras with me, so hopefully I'll have a few pics of him to share, upon my return

With all that said, Godspeed and have a memorable trip Jack. Let's hope someone else does not like your lamb more than you at check in.

Thanks Bob, I hope not, that's why I'm not taking my Hartshead Barlow! ;)
Nice find, it's interesting to see another of those Shadow Lambs  I'd originally wanted to do a Shadow for my first Lambsfoot SFO, but with Lignum Vitae covers. It's clearly seen a lot of use, I don't think I've ever picked up an old Bexoid model that didn't have similar gunk!

Thanks a lot David, hopefully it'll be plain sailing :)

You just reminded me of why I used to hate travel day on our Carribean diving trips. Usually for me it meant no sleep on travel day. The plus side is that the return trip is on the same plane that the weary travelers got up early to catch means you have a leisurely routine on the way home. Wishing you smooth sailing, warm sun, and nice ocean breezes while you're away.

Thanks Jack, I'm sure that lamb would have been a fine creation.

I will give it alittle love but not too much. I like the character of it.

Thanks buddy :) Yeah, maybe I can treat them to some serious snoring on the plane! :D I think the transfer is quite lengthy too Duane, should have gone for 10 days really. As you say, easier on the way home though :) I've certainly had a few adventures when travelling in the past  I was once going to Switzerland to speak at a conference. The cheap skates who bought my ticket booked the flight from an airport in the English Midlands, which meant I had to get there by bus, and travel through the night. I got to the airport about 5.30am, exhausted, and thought I'd go and get a coffee and a newspaper. Then, I decided to check in my bag first, and for some reason the cops decided to detain me, for 3 hours, as a suspected football hooligan!! The fact that I was in my mid forties, had little to no interest in football, and that there were no English teams playing in Switzerland, didn't enter their heads  I got my flight, but I never got my coffee

Thanks Bob, it looks a solid user
Best wishes for smooth and safe travels Jack !
Many thanks Steve :)

Safe travels, Jack! Enjoy the sunshine!

Such a cool pic John. Awesome.
Thank you, Dwight. :)
Beam me up on this cool Christmas image, John
Thank you, Harvey. :)
The Angel, Rose and Lamb... sounds like a great pub name. 🤠
Love the colors in that picture, Harvey. 🤠
Looks like the snow is really starting to stick. 😁
Such a gorgeous Lambsfoot. 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Safe travels to you, my friend. 🤠
Traveling seems like such a hardship these days, I have no interest in it at all.
First it's really expensive, then it's very time-consuming, and then you have to prove to everyone you're not a terrorist... humiliating.
I certainly hope your trip is less of a hassle and you're able to enjoy your get-away. Can't wait to hear reports... we will hold down the fort while you're gone.

Jacks gone! So now the mice can play :D

But on a serious note, where would an American look to get him a lambfoot? All I seemingly can find online is links to Sheffield directly.

I think I misunderstood the rule. I understood that to mean we couldnt discuss buying and selling amongst ourselves. Keep the clutter down.

But if I misunderstood, my apologies.
