Thanks pal, it was nice to call in at Charlie'sGood moments will find you, Jack.
I'd heard that Harvey, and it was the same on Fuerteventura, with so much of the island's economy reliant on tourism, Covid hit them hard, with folks moving away from the island to find work (and better wages). The staff in the hotel were fantastic, but really working long hoursStaffing will continue to be an issue here as well as in your neck of the woods. That’s a plate of nice, Jack.
That's what I'm thinking!Congratulations. Ready for a career change?

They'll not be taking that away pal. Just maybe the aftermath...They've taken my guns off me, had to bring out my secret weapon last night, I had hitherto had it concealed!
Really enjoyed seeing these Jack.Yeah, they haven't come for them yet Pete!![]()

Thanks Harvey, I'm not sure I had much to add, but it was an interesting discussion. I love to talk about cutlery history![]()
Incredible isn't it, a few years back they were issuing warnings about that kind of thing!![]()
Thanks again my friend![]()
What a beautiful photo Harvey, and an exquisite Lambsfoot![]()
There was a time I thought that a Lambsfoot/Pen combo might be the ideal knife for me, but in reality I found the Pen was used so little that it wasn't worth the extra bulk and weight. Arguably, it's a little different with a longer Lambsfoot blade. Or a slimmer Pen (that Wright's Pen is heavy because of where they got the stamping tools). I'd rather carry a single blade Lambsfoot with a second knife, for the most part. Are you sure that's AFRICAN Rosewood Ed, they're generally Indonesian? Here's some of my own two-bladers

That always helps Jack. Thanks Bob, I rang the dental hospital, but while they were very sympathetic, they only accept patients who aren't registered with another dentist, so I have shelled out for a repair kit. Just steadying my nerves!View attachment 2029337
