Northerners would have to see it to believe it Barrett! If you think there are idiots out driving around in the snow up here, you should see it down south when it snows an inch or two
Thank you kindly sir.Breadcakes and Crisps. Perfect.
Nice one Bob.
Glad you stuck it out with the Barbour, Jack. Your acquaintance sounds like a real character. Another one for your memoir.![]()
But "whom" is going to open the bag for her?LOL!Well, that's the thing Bob, despite all her pretensions, and outright snobbery, she shares a house with these other ageing 'Bohemian types', but they don't own a single cup without a chip, or that matches any of the others. Twenty years ago, I was literally just moving in, hadn't even got half my stuff through the door, let alone unpacked, and she turned up. I asked if she wanted a drink, meaning a cup of tea or coffee, and despite claiming to barely drink alcohol, she asked for a glass of red wine. I opened a box of glassware, but there were only white wine glasses in it, the others still being in storage. She whined, "You've given me a white wine glass!" As if I had just p*&ssed in her hat or something!
Thanks Todd!I know some other people attending, so our plan is just to separate ourselves, and get drunk!
Got to take our own booze of course

Shhhh!Looks good to me, Jack, but I have to question your vegan designation… didn’t you say you put butter on the bread?![]()
Hope you've got your feet up now buddyThat’s good.I can almost guarantee you’re right about that second part.
We were originally planning to drive down the Thursday before Christmas, but that was supposed to be the worst weather day, which would have affected us all the way from MN down to AR, so we left a day early instead. When we got into NW Arkansas on Wednesday evening, we stopped to grab a late dinner at a Slim Chickens across the street from my mom’s neighborhood. The Slim’s is in the same parking lot as a Walmart Neighborhood Market, and my wife commented on how full the Walmart parking lot was for almost 10 pm. I said, “You know they’re all stocking up on bread, eggs, milk and toilet paper for the impending snowpocalypse.”In the end, of course, it amounted to a dusting, though it did get pretty dang cold for Arkansas.
When I said I’d had enough shoveling for one week, I completely forgot that shoveling the back deck was on my agenda for today. Had to get back there with the roof rake and clear off the back part of our roof (which tends to get some ice build up), and that really means shoveling the deck once so I can get back there and work without trudging through the snow, and then again after clearing the roof makes a mess of it.

A great start to your flock.Happy Saturday. There’s a break in the storms here in Santa Cruz. I’m was able to enjoy some time outdoors. I took a picture of the two lambsfoots I have. I added another which should arrive early next week. I figured I needed a small flock.

He has me pulling my hair out Steve!
Bill that fire pit area turned out just perfect! Well done and congrats on a fine addition.Good morning Guardians. Nice sunny Saturday morning here in coastal southern NC. Had a frost last night that lingered this morning. Going into the 50's today so it will be pleasant for my stroll. I'll be back carrying my HHB today.
Thank you Barrett. It has been rough. So sorry to hear about Willow, Dwight
Exactly!!! One inch of snow and the interstate is littered with abandoned, stalled, wrecked autos. Schools closed for a week. Snow plow blades grinding on open asphalt. Volunteer law enforcement wannabeeeees setting up roadblocks to protect us from life threatening avalanche danger... The list goes on....We were originally planning to drive down the Thursday before Christmas, but that was supposed to be the worst weather day, which would have affected us all the way from MN down to AR, so we left a day early instead. Thank you Harvey. These old horn lambs do indeed have a rich patina! That’s a sweet heart Lambfoot, Dwight. The striations and the color is wonderful
Dylan your words of concern and kindness are very much appreciated my friend. The two knives he took from me are indeed special but the lambs he wanted me to trade him were of far more value so it could have been worse. The scratted tc ancient is the one knife that brought out the weakness in my armor. I should have been more alert to tell-tale signs than I was. I am pretty much philosophical about life and roll with the punches. It is a valuable lesson that I will not forget any time soon. Your offer to send me a lamb warms my heart my friend but it is not necessary. You are a good egg brother.I just realized why the offender in Dwight’s plight sounded familiar - he’s the one who brought up the Ancient Barlow here recently. Hope that isn’t a sign of a fading memory. I’m gutted over this, Dwight, this is surrounding some very special knives.
My bone Charlie Lamb is well used and well loved. However, if you aren’t made whole, I’d be happy to send you one in Ebony that isn’t quite as used.
