It's down in the low 30's here in Leeds today, with a bitingly cold wind, and some snow flurries. I've gone to a Canadian restaurant to warm up with coffee and potato hash

Have to say, the coffee isn't great, very thin and watery. Hopefully the hash will be better

I took an extra picture in the sun yesterday.

Unfortunately not Jer! I had hash there just before Christmas, and it was delicious. Today, it was more like scrambled eggs than hash, and had a strong flavour of turmeric. The sausages weren't great either. I did enjoy the sourdough toast! OTW looks good basking in the sun

Hope everyone is having a good day I was glad I called in at Charlie's for a coffee and croissant, before going to town. Hisham even had a nice sourdough loaf for me, as a gift The big news in Palermo today is apparently the arrest (after 30 years) of one of the old Mafia bosses, Don Pensionato Anziano

Hello Guardianship!

Been out of pocket this weekend with Greg TXGatorbait

Huge thanks to he and his wife for coming up to assist us. Between the tree trimming and bagging leaves we spent most of Saturday outside. We did a few other chores annd then off to the local cantina for margaritas and a plate of food.

Today we took it slower and did some indoor repairs before having lunch. Then they hit the road for home. We are continuing to make the new home ours and really appreciate the help, Greg. Here are a couple of pictures.

Hope everyone gets off to a good start to this week.

I hope turmeric is medicinal. It tastes like dirt to me.

Sounds like y'all had a productive visit Pete. We live 15 miles from a fair size town. During the fall I pull a gooseneck down there a couple of times and drive around picking up those paper bagged leaves. Usually gather up about 250 bags, dump em by the garden beds and compost em for year after next.
