Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Happy Friday Eve!

Got one, eagerly awating deliery. Seller says it is made by Arthur Wright and is a brand new one made in late 2022. Blade design is relatively new. Something about TWB but I don't know what TWB stands for. Arther Wright TWB? Saying they used to do polished blades before the TWB and Senator Knives but have since stopped because they would outsource the polishing but wasn't great quality so they stopped. (I'm paraphrasing the seller here). Supposedly the fit and finish fot the TWBs and Senators are pretty consistent and good. Guess I'll find out soon enough. I am concerned about the makers stamp, shouldn't it say A. Wright & Sons?

Please calm down a bit Gus ;) We don't name dealers here, particularly where they do not support BF, as it's a violation of the sub-forum guidelines. This thread is intended for discussing Lambsfoot knives, not the BUYING of Lambsfoot knives. Can you edit your second post please? I'm not sure if you've ordered the first knife or not. Whichever one you order, I hope you get a nice one, but you can evaluate it when you receive it (whichever one you order). Sellers, dealers, even manufacturers often post inaccurate information, and we don't need to discuss all of it here. When you get your knife, you can tell us what you think about it, rather than what the seller says, and feel free to ask any questions that don't relate to commerce. Can you please read post #1 of this thread thoroughly, along with the sub-forum guidelines, and I hope you'll have a browse of the thread index

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has had a good week :) Cold again here, but I'd rather have it than rain! :D I have to head into town later this morning to pick up a package, and I'm meeting my pal for a light lunch. Hoping I get time to call in at Charlie's on the way ;) Have a great Friday Guardians

No problem Jack, my apologies. I went back and edited my comments. Thank you for correcting me. I didn’t realize.

Love that one. How long is the blade?

Thank you Jack....all these years and still going strong.....just amazing.
Ibberson's were definitely one of Sheffield's better small cutlers Bob :) Do you think you'll ever re-profile the tip?

That is nice to know Jack.

Being a novice collector I hesitate to change the character of the lamb. It is more a gentleman's knife for me.
I will have to consider that option for the future Jack.

The GEC Waynorth version always looks a lot longer to me in pics. It’s a beauty.
I know what you mean Gus, I guess it's because of the relative slimness of the blade. Thank you, these knives were a real labour of love for Charlie 🙂👍

There a couple of online films made when the old factory was still operating. They have been posted here before I think 👍

It looks like it might not involve too much work Bob 🙂 I think you are wise to consider it carefully though 👍

Thank you kindly for the information Jack. A grand history to these older Cutlery firms.
