Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The stag lamb again. I think my other knives are starting to get jealous. Just a normal day of work. Was thinking of making Korean stir fry for dinner. Jacks thai lunch has me wanting me some good spicy asian food. Luck has it I drive by a great little asian market on my way home. Have a great day everyone.

Great pic of your Barlow !

Thanks Bob, it was rather unexpected :(

Thanks Steve, you might be right buddy :(

Thanks John, I posted that pic for you :D :)

That's a traditional three-legged cutlers stool, and it probably is older than the press. When John Maleham was still the owner of Wright's, they found a dozen or so of those stools up in the attic, and he offered to sell them to me for a very low price. I didn't want them, but told him they were worth a great deal more than he had asked, and suggested he give first refusal to Sheffield Museums. Not long after, he sold the firm, and the new owner sold them to some 'salvage hunters' for a pittance. That's really quite typical of the Sheffield cutlers, the old firms, (in their decline), sold off every bit of history they had, for pennies, and doffed their caps to the visiting pirates as they did so - all their old pattern books, catalogues, documents, priceless exhibition knives, the lot!

That's good news Bill, sunny here too, but cold

Thanks buddy, I might get a Mac myself

Cool pic Bob, that's special

I ended up spending all day in the market, while the computer clown messed around with my PC. I doubt he spent more than 20 minutes working on it, out of 3 hours, because there are constant visitors to his stall, and people on the phone. Most of the visitors are people with very obvious mental health problems, computer nerds, or a mixture of both, and customers like myself, returning items that don't work properly. The phone calls are mainly complaints. I've come to the conclusion that the bloke is an idiot, who doesn't entirely know what he's doing. I only went to him as another stall holder recommended him, but unfortunately this feller no longer has a stall, so he wasn't there to shame. The clown didn't seem to know what had caused the issue, but said it might be overheating, which since there was only one small fan previously, and very little space, it might well be. He replaced the graphics card, and added a fan, but I really don't have faith that he knows what he's doing 🤨

I doubt lugging the PC down to the market has done my back any good, and I'd have rather gone for a walk, or visited Charlie's, on such a nice day, rather than kicking my heels down at the market

Cheese on toast for lunch, with Henderson's of course :)

Thanks for the history lesson Jack. A shame that so much was lost when the cutlers folded shop.

Very nice photo of your great HHB. Hope your back is feeling better. I was moving some furniture around at my wife's direction and my back got really sore for a few days but it seems to have subsided. Walking really helps me.

Good morning Guardians. Hump day! Hoping to get outside for a good walk because it has warmed up and it's sunny out this morning.
