Thanks John, It was super tasty. The meat balls were good but the olives really made it.You win... it looks amazing.![]()
The phrase "fat chance" comes to mind, but fingers crossed.I don't think I'm going to be down at the market as Tool Man is in hospital with his angina, and might be staying in overnight. I'm hoping he'll listen to the docs, and adjust his lifestyle, and particularly his diet

Enjoy the weather and have a great walk Bill. Thanks for the history lesson Jack. A shame that so much was lost when the cutlers folded shop.
Very nice photo of your great HHB. Hope your back is feeling better. I was moving some furniture around at my wife's direction and my back got really sore for a few days but it seems to have subsided. Walking really helps me.
Good morning Guardians. Hump day! Hoping to get outside for a good walk because it has warmed up and it's sunny out this morning.

Thanks, I'll let him knowHope the Tool Man gets well although I see nothing wrong with his diet.
I had to look up 'Lazy Susan', I just couldn't remember what it was!![]()
I always thought this lazy Susan was Luddington ware (or Munising ware?). They used to make painted blond wood kitchenware north of here on Lake Michigan.
But there's a faint stamp underneath that says Holly Woodworking, Old Forge NY, so it's more ancient to my family than I thought, though I knew it was old because it's always been here.
But Holly Woodworking is today a gift shop in Old Forge, so the lazy Susan might have gone from Lake Michigan to Old Forge to be bought by my parents and brought back to Michigan.
If I ever spill vinegar on pennies on blond wood again, I'll wipe it up sooner.
Tell Tool Man that we need him around... Take care of himself.
Almost fishing season...
Nice-looking blade buddyJust a regular ole normal day for me today. Work has been rather slow of late. Decided to give the Ebony lamb a strop. Yes I have a strop in one of my desk drawers![]()
. I am currently on coffee number 3 and got a fresh pot brewing. This ebony lamb will keep me company today.

I'm glad you are managing my friendGood morning, Guardians, from beautiful, sunny SW Florida. RALF and I are enjoying some good coffee this morning amid the turmoil of having our entire kitchen torn apart to refurb after hurricane Ian did his evil upon us. I'm having to make coffee on my reloading bench, but we are making do.

I'll do my best John, it's not like he has to go on a starvation dietTell Tool Man that we need him around... Take care of himself.
That sounds too long already! Thanks, Jack, we are already half-way through week 2, with mostly taping, mudding and painting left to do. Your stag HHB is looking exquisite!
He’s made his life style decisions, like most of have, and he’s sticking to it, bless his soul. Hope his day gets better.I don't think I'm going to be down at the market as Tool Man is in hospital with his angina, and might be staying in overnight. I'm hoping he'll listen to the docs, and adjust his lifestyle, and particularly his diet

This thread usually makes me hungry…I think I may skip lunch today.Sadly, you are almost certainly right I'm afraid JerThe doctors have been warning him for at least 10 years now, and it has made no difference. He has a large fried breakfast (fried in lard) 365 days a year, and it goes downhill from there!
He probably eats more at the market than most other midweek days I think, but his diet is appalling! At the market, he'll eat a couple of large sandwiches from the tea van, comprising Spam, bacon, fried egg, and mushrooms (and sausage too, sometimes), but that is just to supplement the 3 or 4 Spam sandwiches he's brought with him. He'll have between 1 and 4 pork pies, usually two, sometimes a large 'steak slice' (steak in pastry), numerous cakes, a portion of chips with gravy or curry sauce, and half of anything I happen to have brought with me, along with samples of anything anyone else is eating. Then he goes home to another fry-up, possibly followed by a takeaway, accompanied by the strongest ales he can find
The furthest he ever walks is the cake stall at the top of the market
It's nice that he enjoys his food, as we all do, but nobody else eats anything like that

I know, and I say the same thing every year…”This year I’m going to fish more.” Then life happens…but THIS year I’m REALLY going to fish more.Almost fishing season...![]()

Okay I retract my last statement regarding the Tool Man. That is not good. My goodness that's a lot of food. Hopefully he can curb his appetite and live a little healthier.Sadly, you are almost certainly right I'm afraid JerThe doctors have been warning him for at least 10 years now, and it has made no difference.
