Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope nobody had too taxing a week, and that you have something exciting planned for the weekend ;) No Superbowl here, so I'll have to make do with a bunch of 11 year-olds kicking a ball around a frosty field on the edge of Leeds! :D Hartshead Barlow in my pocket :) Have a great Saturday Guardians
You too, Jack. Waiting for today’s show and tell. Always a treat,
Love the jigged Lambsfoot. 🤠
Thank you John.
Of course, my vote always goes to the African Rosewood variety...
Can’t go go wrong with this one, John.👍🏻😎
And fewer wardrobe malfunctions.
Howdy Jeff.😀

That Maker's Mark is my go to bourbon. Excellent all round whisky. The Lambsfoot knife isn't bad either!
Thanks Bill :)
Fewer commercial breaks, I'll bet.
Yes! :D They did have breaks, turned out they were 9 year olds, rather than 11 year olds, so they played an hour, split into quarters, which I'd never heard of before
Good pic of your HHB Jack! 🤠
Thank you David :)
Very nice photo of your HHB Jack. I'll be watching the Super Bowl and I'm an Eagles fan (having lived in the Philly area for many years and my wife is a native Philadelphian.

Good morning Guardians. Going to be a rainy/gloomy couple of days. I'll be out shopping for some Tapcon screws to put up a new trellis for my wife's roses. Going up on the from of our new home. My HHD will be in the pocket all weekend.

In my experience rosewood just looks better and better as you handle the knife.

Here is my Rosewood Lambsfoot.

It's always great to see your Loyal Lamb :)
Me and a buddy were drinking Japanese whiskey one night and I remember it being really good. Don't remember the name because we drank the whole bottle lol.
Expensive night! :D I've only had a handful of Japanese whiskies, but I've been impressed by every one
Hope they at least have a railroad adjacent to the pitch with a train going by during the game.

And no stupid halftime show!!!
LOL! :D That would have been nice! :D  Some great views, but I was warned in advance, not to get my camera out, to keep my knife in my pocket, to not speak of anything remotely controversial/interesting, and to adopt the vocabulary of Mary Poppins  Fortunately, just before kick-off, my mate's brother turned up, with his Irish girlfriend, and supplies from the village's fish and chip shop, which was established in 1911, in a building dating from 1637, which injected a healthy dose of fun!

Thanks to a local sponsor, the boys were very well kitted out :D It turns out they are the youngest team of Shadwell United F.C., a tiny amateur team, named for the village. By coincidence, the very forgettable British football hooligan film, I.D., is set in the fictional London suburb 'Shadwell'! 🤣

Unfortunately, I could not find a video clip with the vocabulary of Mary Poppins! 🤣

Thanks Harvey, I am afraid, that I will have to rely on photos taken previously in the pretty village, which I occasionally pass through on my hikes. It has some beautiful old buildings.

As well as the afore-mentioned restrictions placed upon me at the football match, I was also unable to give my mate his birthday presents, being as one of them was a large axe, which I thought it best not to wave around in the presence of so many delicate sensibilities  ;) After the game, we departed to the pub, and en route, I gave him the gifts  There's only one pub in the village, The Red Lion, but it's a friendly enough place, with good ale, and it turned out to be managed by the parents of one of my pal's lad's team-mates. So the grown-ups got to have a pint, while half a dozen of Shadwell United's young players drank coke, and played darts, nervously watched by my mate :D

Well, a little football, some old architecture, fish and chips, and a pint--sounds like a pretty good day, Jack!

It was nice Vince, next time I'll combine it with a walk :) It was good to see my mate's brother, Tony. The two of them were orphans as kids, and separated, but they live a few doors from each other now. However, Tony is in demolition, and always working away, so I don't get to see him too often. The good news is, he's finally taken a steady job in Leeds, so hopefully we'll all see a lot more of him :)
Well, a very cool porch member traded with me and I gotta say I love the HHB. Reminds me a lot in size of the GEC 86 which is my favorite pattern.

Congratulations, I hope it serves you well :)
Mamma bear wants a new fridge. I have spent half the day searching for the perfect one lol.

That doesn't sound like fun buddy! :D I've been meaning to get a new fridge for years, but just looking at them online makes my brain ache! 🤣 Nice Lamb :)
