It was an expensive venture. She had to have one with a touch screen on the front. Why a fridge needs a computer on the front, I will never know. Happy wife happy life. She doesnt argue when little boxes get delivered regularly. I had to just do what the boss wanted with a smile on my face .

Well, my sister and her husband just gave me a bottle of Hibiki, Japanese whisky. Will drink neat.

So how do you like the Hibiki? Anything you can compare it to. I've not had it.

I like it, Dwight. I guess I can compare it to a well-balanced Scotch. I prefer Islay malts and bourbon (sipping on some Old Forester right now). But the Hibiki is very good. Worth a try.

Islay scotch is my favorite too. Is the Hibiki smoky? And oddly enough I too am sipping Old Forester as we speak (1920).

Haha! Trouble is I can't afford to drink that scotch exclusively (or I would). So I downgrade ever so slightly to 1920 and Knob Creek 9.

Ooh! My favorite since 1997! But I had some Ardbeg Corryvreckan last year that I think is even better.

Islay scotch is my favorite too. Is the Hibiki smoky? And oddly enough I too am sipping Old Forester as we speak (1920).

Hibiki is not smoky. More like a relatively bland blend. Guess anything is bland compared to Laphroaig.
Gotta try the 1920. Was drinking the 100 proof.

You are absolutely right! I grew up in Omaha and I knew guys who would make beer runs to Colorado for Coors. They would pack coolers with ice because it needed to be kept cold. Oh how times have changed!
