Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Morning Guardians !

Starting the week here with snow and a Winter storm advisory through Thursday. They are predicting anywhere from 12"-18" of snow

TEW today to start of the week 👍

This watch was my Uncles Royal Navy issued watch, he passed away two weeks ago and he was the last of my uncles still living. I've got this watch and his Navy rigging knife to remember him by.

Thanks Paul. Oh she’s all grown up…well, out of the nest anyway, so we aren’t paying for it! 🤣
I’m just tagging along so she doesn’t forget she’s still my little girl. 😉👍
Thank the lord for you my friend. I was sweating it out for you 😆 🤣 😂.
Love the patina on your ebony Lambfoot, Paul.

Thank you Bob.

Thank you, Todd.

Thank you, Paul.
Thanks Harvey. 😊

Ditto on the weather here Steve. I live just across the Minnesota border. I think I have very similar weather to you. Wonderful Lamb and beautiful watch today.

Thank you Jack!🤠

Looks like a handy whetstone.🤠
Yeah, I hope so, nice size for a small pocket knife, and it's prettier than most! :D ;)
Have a good one, Jack. Where were you thinking of going?
I'm not really too fussed, so I was looking at the Canaries again, or maybe Sicily, but I hate using those darn booking sites. I kind of got distracted, and booked 10 days in Lanzarote at Christmas again, which is costing me £3000, so I might be going paddling on the Yorkshire coast! :D I do need to get up to Scotland to see friends there, and also to London, but the trains are really disrupted here at the moment. I need an assistant to sort these things out for me really! :D
Props to Tool Man for doing things his way, consistently. No matter the result.😱 Looks real sharp. A proper Teddy Boy.
I'll tell him that Harvey! :) He has been quite adamant about maintaining his lifestyle, but we'll see how it goes I guess  He rang me today to say how much he enjoyed our boozing session! :D

Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
Excellent Metal Monday choice my friend  Maybe I should book a couple of days over in Sheffield! :D
Hope everyone is having a great day. Nothing too crazy today for me. Might run into town to peruse the hardware store. Thinking about learning to do blade deletes and maybe one day simple recovers. Really hate that I have to send my knives half way across the country to get it done. Would love to learn myself. Got the lamb that started it all for me, the little ebony wonder.

That's very industrious Paul :) Don't go deleting that Lambsfoot blade though! :D ;)
Have a great day in town today Jack! Hope the sleepless night doesn't get you too bad. Overseas? As in the US? HHB is looking mighty fine sir.
Thanks buddy, I could have done without having to meet my pal so early, especially as he was late, but I got 40 winks on the sofa this afternoon ;) Hope you're having a good day yourself
Tool Man hasn't changed a bit! Very cool photo.
:D

Handy looking stone Jack !
Thanks Steve, it's made from Banded Jasper, and copied from genuine archaeological finds :) I just thought it looked cool ;)

Very sorry to hear about your uncle Steve :( My uncle was in the Royal Navy, on HMS Bulwark, but he died in his 30's sadly :( Nice photo

Cheeseburger for tea! :)

Can anyone recommend a BBQ sauce that isn't really runny?

My condolences to you and yours Steve on your Uncle’s passing. May he rest easy.

Thank you Jack. Maybe I should.😂
Nice Lamb for Metal Monday!🤠
Thank you David.

Mm, Mm Good!
I love pancakes, and avoid eating them too often, so that they're really special when I do! :D The past few years I've gone out hunting them in Leeds, but generally been disappointed, and end up making my own. Every year, I say that I'm just going to stay at home, but I think I might give it one more shot tomorrow ;) :D

Thanks pal, I hate wasting food, but....ugh! :( £15 with the mediocre coffee 🤨

A disappointing meal out is one of the worst disappointments. (Ok, maybe not in the grand scheme of things, but still…)

Cool pic Barrett, the pipe looks huge! :D

Ha! Thanks, Jack! It’s not really all that big, I don’t think. Might just be because it’s in the foreground there. I took that photo a few years back, when I only had that one Lambsfoot. That pipe was my first pipe, too, and that tobacco blend was one of my favorites, which, of course, is no longer made. 🙁

Yes, sad to appear about Bruce Willis :(

Yeah, definitely a shame. Certainly can’t blame him for stepping back from acting, and I hope he gets some good years with his friends and family.

I've just been trying to find an old photo of him on this site, without success I'm afraid, but I did find a photo (elsewhere) of Barry, one of the tool stall regulars, who was 85 a couple of weeks back :)

Another dapper looking Teddy Boy there! 😎

I finally found a photo of young Tool Man! 🤣

That’s a cool old photo of the Tool Man. Definitely seems like a bloke who does things his way.

Thanks Paul, hopefully we won't get as much as they are predicting.

I’ve got my snow shovel(s) and ready. I say bring it on! 🤪

Cool pic, Steve. That’s a handsome old knife (and watch). Sorry to hear about your uncle.

He has been quite adamant about maintaining his lifestyle, but we'll see how it goes I guess  He rang me today to say how much he enjoyed our boozing session! :D

For all his stubbornness and eccentricities, the Tool Man sounds like a good friend.

Looks like a filling meal, Jack. Are those onion rings with your burger and fries?

I don’t know that I could recommend a BBQ sauce that would be available over there. My favorite one from Kansas City (which I’ve posted about here before) is hard enough to get here in Minnesota, just a couple hours away. 😐

Their Sweet n’ Spicy sauce isn’t too bad (although it isn’t really spicy).

Eleanor had the day off school today (President’s Day) so we went to see a movie. 🍿

Your entry evokes both sadness and happiness. I hope you had a fulfilling relationship with your uncles. A great knife you are showing.
I still have a P coat from one of my uncles and many good memories.
