Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

A disappointing meal out is one of the worst disappointments. (Ok, maybe not in the grand scheme of things, but still…)

Ha! Thanks, Jack! It’s not really all that big, I don’t think. Might just be because it’s in the foreground there. I took that photo a few years back, when I only had that one Lambsfoot. That pipe was my first pipe, too, and that tobacco blend was one of my favorites, which, of course, is no longer made. 🙁

Yeah, definitely a shame. Certainly can’t blame him for stepping back from acting, and I hope he gets some good years with his friends and family.

Another dapper looking Teddy Boy there! 😎

That’s a cool old photo of the Tool Man. Definitely seems like a bloke who does things his way.

I’ve got my snow shovel(s) and ready. I say bring it on! 🤪

Cool pic, Steve. That’s a handsome old knife (and watch). Sorry to hear about your uncle.

For all his stubbornness and eccentricities, the Tool Man sounds like a good friend.

Looks like a filling meal, Jack. Are those onion rings with your burger and fries?

I don’t know that I could recommend a BBQ sauce that would be available over there. My favorite one from Kansas City (which I’ve posted about here before) is hard enough to get here in Minnesota, just a couple hours away. 😐

Their Sweet n’ Spicy sauce isn’t too bad (although it isn’t really spicy).

Eleanor had the day off school today (President’s Day) so we went to see a movie. 🍿

Wonderful lamb Barrett...glad you had time to enjoy a movie.

Thanks Barrett and nice pic of your HHB !

Your entry evokes both sadness and happiness. I hope you had a fulfilling relationship with your uncles. A great knife you are showing.
I still have a P cost from one of my uncles and many good memories.

Thanks Bob !

I know what you mean mate :(

Know I think it was the perspective Barrett! :D My dad worked, for many years, alongside an older feller called Arthur. They both smoked pipes, and would share tobacco. When it was my dad's turn to get it out, Arthur would produce his huge "cadging pipe"! They both joked about it :D

Yes, still quite a young man :(

Aye, Barry, I leant him the money for the cloth for his suit last year. We got it from one of the cloth stalls in the market

He told me there was a bloke who came round the pubs taking photos, and a few days later, you could buy the prints, inexpensively. Otherwise there would barely be any photos of them all. I can remember photographers like that, at the seaside, when I was a kid

He's a good-hearted feller for sure

Yes, I struggled a bit Barrett, I wasn't that hungry. They are onion rings

It's strange how things can be so regional isn't it? :) I remember you posting that collection before :) I have purchased a number of BBQ sauces here, but not been particularly impressed with any of them. The last time I bought Stubb's, I thought I had made it runny by putting it in the fridge, but it turns out it's like that

There's a lot of that isn't there?! I am fond of tomato and chilli relish, but there doesn't seem to be much chilli in it!

Fantastic my friend, I hope you both enjoyed it :) Great pic
Thank you Jack.

Is that chocolate ice cream on the pancake?

It is Harvey, I think it must have been melting while I was taking the photo! :D I made a sauce with Drambuie and maple syrup ;) Beautiful Charlie Lamb

Don't use BBQ sauce on my burgers. I recommend copious amounts of mustard and Tabasco sauce.
Don't even use BBQ sauce on my BBQ: good BBQ don't need sauce. Most of the BBQ around here is smoked with mesquite wood, and tastes great.
I don't often use it myself, usually use ketchup and some good chilli sauce. Sometimes I miss out the ketchup! 😁 Other times I use tomato and chilli burger relish with added Tabasco. I was introduced to my favourite hot sauce by Barrett - Secret Aardvark 😋😋😋👍

That reminds me of another Tarantino scene. 🤣

I imagine, in hindsight, that was a small bit of money well spent.

I’ve had Stubb’s before, but it’s been a long time. I remember it being on the thin side, and quite peppery. Wasn’t my favorite.

I made a sauce with Drambuie and maple syrup ;)
Wow! Gotta try that!

Well, gotta go to work tomorrow--my jury duty was cancelled at the last minute. Spent the last month thinking of what to say during selection:
"I don't think it would be fair for me to be on the jury because I can read thoughts."
"I can tell if they're guilty or not just by looking at them."
"I believe in jury nullification, and so I cannot take the oath."
"He's gonna testify, right?"
I probably would have just tried to do my duty, though...

I was wearing my P coat on Saturday :) It didn't come from my uncle, but I have lots of good memories, often think about him, and wish he hadn't died so young :(

That scene didn't end well either!

Yes, not so many folks owned cameras back then, and it isn't the sort of thing a teenage Ted would have luffed around or imagine! :D

I wasn't impressed either Barrett, nor with any of the others I've bought here :(

It's very easily made! :D ;) I noticed I've run out of Drambuie, but I do have some Grand Marnier! :D

I have a friend, only about 40, and he's had to do it twice in the past few years.

You are my friend :)
🤠

I enjoy your Pancake Day adventures... Good luck and keep us posted.
Thanks John, I noticed a place up the road is doing them now, so I might just head up there this year ;)

Terrible aren't they?!
That pancake looks far too healthy. ;)
LOL! It's been years since I bought Lyle's Golden Syrup, which was ubiquitous when I was a kid 🤣

I think they've thinned it out a bit in recent years though. Used to be, if you weren't careful putting it back in the cupboard, and there was a stray drop of 'treacle', (as everyone called it), you'd have to use a chisel to get the tin back out again! :D
