Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's now up to 85° but it's supposed to cool back down for the weekend with snow in the forecast for Sunday evening o_O

That's Minnesota weather though ;)

Thanks Jack !

Cassie did okay, she gets scared going to the vet ever since she was fixed, it was a Bordetella vaccine which is just a nasal spray so no jab

She got to go swimming so she was very happy :) There is still some ice on the lake but she didn't care .

Lovely.

Funny...my wife wants to go to Atlantic City to play the tables!!! Enjoy that quiet while you can Todd.
Thanks Bob, good luck in Atlantic City. 😎👍
I'm sure Craps is a good way for the youngsters to learn arithmetic Todd! :D Cool pic
Thanks Jack, the school board might frown on that lesson plan!🤣
Early afternoon coffee and cigar.

Doesn’t get much better Pete. 😎👍
Nice weather here today (and for the last few days). The shoveled-snow pile next to the driveway will be completely gone by this afternoon (though the yard beneath looks pretty rough at the moment, and will need a bit of sprucing up).

Scout and I were out running some errands earlier, and we stopped to walk around a local park a bit. I’ve driven through this park (and taken the girls to a big playground there, which was closed today, to Scout’s disappointment), but I hadn’t seen this old farmhouse before, which is currently being propped up to keep it from collapsing. Hopefully they have a plan for a more permanent (and better looking) form of reinforcement.

The white sign had been blown or knocked over, so I set it back upright.

Enjoyed some ice-cold sweet tea when we got back home.

Sounds like a great day Barrett. 😎👍
Fantastic photo Jon. 😎👍

Those do look plump and delicious Jack.

Well it would for sure be a world without government officials.

Awesome pic Bob! :)

Cool old farmhouse ruins. Interesting and "not too subtle" bracing. I've been reading up on the Afzelia tree and variations. That has to be some of the most beautiful exotic burl on the planet. 👍

Have fun at the market Jack.

You seem to have really bonded with your '19 Steve :)
Thanks Jack. These knives are from Napanoch part of the Daniel’s family line. I think they began making knives with a lambsfoot blade last year. The secondary tool on mine is a cap lifter. Harvey has a really cool one called the Game Warden with a saw as the secondary tool. Mine was a SFO for FB club which I’m not a member but was able to find elsewhere at what I believe was the club cost. They are well made knives imho. They are a bit wide with the added CL.

Thanks a lot for the info buddy, that's quite chunky isn't it :)
Was absolutely " Lee Marvin " this morning, on advice Protein, Protein, Protein, Fat and more Fat. And was delicious. 😋😋😋😋.

Well it would for sure be a world without government officials.
Definitely buddy! :D

Thanks Dwight, cool Barlow pic :)
Good luck! 🤣
He dodged it again, and then belatedly (and briefly) waved a fiver around, when I berated him for his tight-fistedness! 🤨😣
Here’s some more info I found online. The first link has a bunch of photos (obviously taken before it was fenced off for stabilization).

And here’s a photo of the farmhouse from 1936.

Thanks for the links and the pic Barrett, I wonder who the wee chap on the pic is :) Interesting stuff, though I couldn't visit the second website, because of some European data-protection nonsense
That’s great, Steve! You’ve got a lot more open water there than we have on Minnetonka. Here’s a (not very good) pic I took today.

I think that's a pretty cool pic :)

Just a little over 3mm using my digital caliper. To be honest I have no idea what is to thick or too thin. 🤷
The stock on my old ones varies, but 3mm is definitely on the thick side

That food looks absolutely delicious Daniel 😋 Nice-looking beers too, and a fine Lambsfoot :)
Good morning Guardians. Beautiful morning at my dock. Really nice place to have my morning tea. Late tee time today and it's going to be a warm afternoon for sure here in South Eastern NC. Going to lather on the sunscreen and have at it. After golf going to carry my HHB.

Nice spot Bill, hope you're having a lovely day :)
Great to see you here Kevin :) Cool Pic
Took the HHB to the beach. Balmy 84° this am.View attachment 2150893
Beautiful pic Bob :) That's quite a contrast to here, where it's been cold, wet, and very windy

Hope everyone is having a good day :) I was awake at 6am, and down the market at 7am today. The weather has been dreadful, but I put in 8 hours, and Tight-Fisted Tool Man did well again. The weather didn't seem to stop folks shopping in the market, and on occasion, there were more people stood chatting behind the stall, than browsing Tool Man's wares. On the way home, I remembered I am going out for a drink with my mate Matt tonight, so I better go and get cleaned up, and hopefully I can catch 40 winks, as I'm exhausted! 😴

Ex-Para Steve brought these over to shows us. Apparently, during WW2 the Soviet Army were short of skilled blacksmiths to shoe the horses of cavalry regiments, so they used screw-on shoes, and this is a set of tools for them

Great pic of the chaps Jack.😃 Very interesting about the russians. They always seem to be a step behind.🫤

Hope you did not leave toolman mumbling after paying up for last week.
