Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Firstly i want to state, this is not my knife and the owner had kindly given me permission to post it here on the Guardians Thread. They have no information about it and any information we can find out about it i will relay to them, so i am very grateful for their permission to post. When i saw it i was intrigued straight away thinking that is a Lambsfoot, but knowing about the lambsfoot's American history thought it could be a fake or a reproduction from other knives, but it looks really genuine. So it could be an historical piece of American Cutlery, because we were under the opinion that the GEC Charlie Campagna 2019 was the first American run production Lambsfoot. Hope this creates some interesting discussion among the Guardians, and what would be gold is if we could find an old Schatt & Morgan catalogue with this knife featured. Any thoughts from Schatt & Morgan collectors would be fantastic, have a look and see what you think.

Well, the tang stamps match, which is a good thing. More pics from a 90% angle would be helpful to see if perhaps it is a Warncliffe.
There are only two original s&m catalogs found, one from 1903 & 1907. I don't have access to them right now but will look when I get back home.

So close on the guess!! Awesome photo of the Albers, Barrett.

Great photo and awesome lamb, Dwight.

Good luck on the links, Bill. HHB is looking better than ever.

One of the nicest lambs, Bob. Have a nice day buddy 😃.

Always good to see ole toffee wings. Looking great!!!!
Thanks kindly Paul. Lamb is looking good...plenty of time to build that stand. My father and I had great success at Ft.Dix in NJ.

Afternoon Guardians !

The Baxter has many more years left in it. Still has great snap. This one has half stops 👍

It's a really cool-looking example Steve, with incredible jigging :)
Thank you, Jack. Ardbeg 10, Johnnie Walker Black, and Elijah Craig bourbon. Cigars were Arturo Fuente and Ave Maria. A very pleasant evening!
A sumptuous menu my friend :) The Oban 14 was going down well, here at Grumble Towers last night! :D
Ima 'bout wore out - we've had a few days off from client work, so we've been working on stuff around the yards and house. It's been good but we are pretty tired. And as soon as I hit 'post reply' on this I will be out to work on the back yard.

Here's a lovely knife (curtesy of The Paragon of the Lambsfoot Jack Black Jack Black ) that cut up a steak last night.

I know the feeling Tyson, I'm absolutely worn out! 🥱 Sounds like you're busy buddy, I hope you get some sofa time soon :) Great to see your Hartshead Barlow! :D
I switched back to the Albers for Wooden Wednesday (and also because I saw Jack and Paul were totin’ theirs and I didn’t want to feel left out). 😉 Pictured here with a couple Christmas gifts that I’ve been meaning to get into.

Jack Black Jack Black Jack I am so happy to see you landed a Afzelia Albers Lamb! Well done my friend and congratulations. :D
Thanks a lot Dwight, very kind of you my friend :)
A lot of what is passed off as Schnitzel here is not, if fact does not even come close. Most people here have never had a real Schnitzel, it is just another case of using a name but bastardising the product. There used to be a little cafe here started by a Polish couple who had survived the Nazi regime and who wanted a new life here. Now they had " Schnitzel ". A simple meal of, Schnitzel, potato salad, salt and pepper and a 1/4 of lemon. Sadly the people who ate there on a regular basis all died off, and was not trendy enough for the new generation of tossers, so is now gone. But they had schnitzels. 👌
I bet they were good Leon 😋 A shame so many places like that are gone now :(

Nice stag Dwight !
Thanks Steve.
Great photo and awesome lamb, Dwight
Thanks Paul.
Regular work day for me. Cruising around in the truck scouting for a few good hunting spots.
Sounds like a hard life Paul. ;)
Beautiful Lamb!
Gracias amigo.
Afternoon Guardians !

Lost your quote Bob. I love the shield, the pants, and the liner on that K'roo!

Ice-out was officially declared on Lake Minnetonka today. The only downside to this news is that a couple months ago I entered a contest held by a local restaurant in which you had to guess the ice-out date. The prize for guessing correctly was a $200 gift certificate to the restaurant. My guess was tomorrow, April 20th. 🙄😀

Bad luck with the date Barrett, but that's a tunning photo buddy :)
After I picked Eleanor up from school, we stopped for donuts.

What a great dad :)
Yep. I would try the bacon Spam because I love bacon, but I wouldn't buy Spam Lite.
When I was a kid, we used to sometimes have another canned meat product, called Bacon Grill, which I liked :) Probably more salt than Spam I reckon! :D
Excellent pic Dwight :)

Leon PMed me about this knife yesterday, and I've been in a state of excitement ever since! Well-spotted mate :) I have spent a lot of time looking, and never seen a US-produced knife anything like that before. One of the things we have discussed in the past, is that a few Lambsfoot knives may have been incorrectly labelled/recorded as Sheepsfoot knives in the US, and also that some manufacturers sold knives they had actually imported from Sheffield. I am really looking forward to a discussion about this knife, and hope we can find out more
Hope you have a good day at the market Jack!
I did thank you David, though I'm exhausted! :D

Good morning Guardians! Hope everyone is having a lovely day.
Beautiful photo :)
Good morning Guardians. Off to play golf this morning. Glorious day!☺️

Can't wait to hear what Dave has to say
Off to donate blood with Calamity in my pocket.
Enjoy the day everyone.View attachment 2158792
Well done Bob, great pic of Calamity there :)
That S&M tang stamp is one they use from 1897 to 1902.
Fantastic info Dave, that would put it not long after the introduction of the McKinley import tariffs, which could be significant
Always a pleasure :)

Regular work day for me. Cruising around in the truck scouting for a few good hunting spots. This is a wonderful installation filled with wildlife and beautiful scenery. Got the '19 today. Have a great day Guardians.

Seems you survived another day with tool man. I hope he did not try to obscound with you great new lamb.

How's everyone doing? Hope you're all having a good day Guardians :) It's been a pleasant, bright, sunny day here, though still quite cool. The combination of blinding sunshine, and dark shade under the market stalls, is not great for photography, but I took a few pics. I got home worn out, and was falling asleep editing my pics at the computer. Hoping I can get them posted before my head hits the keyboard! 😴 :D

Tool Man swapped his regular Spam and egg sandwich for a large cheeseburger this morning, have to say it looked pretty tasty :D I snapped a pic of Nobber Al's breakfast, no wonder he looks so glum! 🤣

We actually had very few visitors today, there was just Special Needs Scott, Hell-on-Wheels, Captain Birdseye, Otley Mick, Danny Dinner-Service, and a few others, plus a couple of Tool Man's old Teddy Boy mates visiting from Sheffield, who I had a good chat with :) Wolfie (the OTHER Wolfie) is very proud of his new teeth! :D

Paul Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 very generously included a knife for Tool Man in his gift-box to me the other day. I'm not sure he deserves it, but I told him he better bring his glasses with him, for once, otherwise he'd be in trouble! I'll post the pics in another thread, but he was really pleased :)
