Well, the tang stamps match, which is a good thing. More pics from a 90% angle would be helpful to see if perhaps it is a Warncliffe.Firstly i want to state, this is not my knife and the owner had kindly given me permission to post it here on the Guardians Thread. They have no information about it and any information we can find out about it i will relay to them, so i am very grateful for their permission to post. When i saw it i was intrigued straight away thinking that is a Lambsfoot, but knowing about the lambsfoot's American history thought it could be a fake or a reproduction from other knives, but it looks really genuine. So it could be an historical piece of American Cutlery, because we were under the opinion that the GEC Charlie Campagna 2019 was the first American run production Lambsfoot. Hope this creates some interesting discussion among the Guardians, and what would be gold is if we could find an old Schatt & Morgan catalogue with this knife featured. Any thoughts from Schatt & Morgan collectors would be fantastic, have a look and see what you think.

A sumptuous menu my friendThank you, Jack. Ardbeg 10, Johnnie Walker Black, and Elijah Craig bourbon. Cigars were Arturo Fuente and Ave Maria. A very pleasant evening!
I know the feeling Tyson, I'm absolutely worn out!Ima 'bout wore out - we've had a few days off from client work, so we've been working on stuff around the yards and house. It's been good but we are pretty tired. And as soon as I hit 'post reply' on this I will be out to work on the back yard.
Here's a lovely knife (curtesy of The Paragon of the LambsfootJack Black ) that cut up a steak last night.

I bet they were good LeonA lot of what is passed off as Schnitzel here is not, if fact does not even come close. Most people here have never had a real Schnitzel, it is just another case of using a name but bastardising the product. There used to be a little cafe here started by a Polish couple who had survived the Nazi regime and who wanted a new life here. Now they had " Schnitzel ". A simple meal of, Schnitzel, potato salad, salt and pepper and a 1/4 of lemon. Sadly the people who ate there on a regular basis all died off, and was not trendy enough for the new generation of tossers, so is now gone. But they had schnitzels.![]()

Bad luck with the date Barrett, but that's a tunning photo buddyIce-out was officially declared on Lake Minnetonka today. The only downside to this news is that a couple months ago I entered a contest held by a local restaurant in which you had to guess the ice-out date. The prize for guessing correctly was a $200 gift certificate to the restaurant. My guess was tomorrow, April 20th.

When I was a kid, we used to sometimes have another canned meat product, called Bacon Grill, which I likedYep. I would try the bacon Spam because I love bacon, but I wouldn't buy Spam Lite.
Excellent pic Dwight

Enjoy the day everyone.View attachment 2158792
Fantastic info Dave, that would put it not long after the introduction of the McKinley import tariffs, which could be significantThat S&M tang stamp is one they use from 1897 to 1902.
Always a pleasure
Nice work if you can get it buddyRegular work day for me. Cruising around in the truck scouting for a few good hunting spots. This is a wonderful installation filled with wildlife and beautiful scenery. Got the '19 today. Have a great day Guardians.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge DaveWell, the tang stamps match, which is a good thing. More pics from a 90% angle would be helpful to see if perhaps it is a Warncliffe.
There are only two original s&m catalogs found, one from 1903 & 1907. I don't have access to them right now but will look when I get back home.
Dave
Close but no cigar! (Or, in this case, no steak.)![]()

Leon PMed me about this knife yesterday, and I've been in a state of excitement ever since! Well-spotted mateI have spent a lot of time looking, and never seen a US-produced knife anything like that before. One of the things we have discussed in the past, is that a few Lambsfoot knives may have been incorrectly labelled/recorded as Sheepsfoot knives in the US, and also that some manufacturers sold knives they had actually imported from Sheffield. I am really looking forward to a discussion about this knife, and hope we can find out more
