Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sounds like quite an ordeal, Jack (and by “ordeal,” I mean, “pain in the…”) 🙁
Yeah, it would have gone a lot easier if I'd had my phone in my pocket, as usual, but it still might have taken a while  At least it wasn't raining! ;)
Wow! 😍 I’m so glad that you got an Albers Lamb, Jack!:thumbsup: Is that the Afzelia Burl?
Thanks buddy, it is :) I'm feeling very lucky :)
That’s great, Jack! Well done, Paul!
Thanks again my friend :)

Dang!!!!!!!! That looks really good. Cindy already has the sausage on but tomorrow morning I think we'll have Spam and eggs up.
Thursday is definitely Spam Day Ed! 🤣

I am glad you are happy with the package and it made it to you in one piece, Jack. Thank you everyone for the kind words. Just paying it back for what was already done for me.

I am thrilled about Jack getting an Albers, I think I will carry mine today. Snow is melting fast but it is a dreary cool day. I'll take it over the as Daniel calls it, cloud dandruff 😆 🤣 😂. Hope everyone is having a great day.

That looks delicious Daniel, I haven't had schnitzel in ages :) My sister's first husband was a cutler at Joseph Rodgers & Sons, and his mother was German, so she'd always make us schnitzel. I don't think I'd had it before that, as even today, it's not so common here

It was incredibly kind of you Paul :) It's great to see your Albers Lamb, that's a smashing pic

Thanks Tyson, that's very kind of you :) I was just thinking earlier, 'I wonder how Tyson is?' :)
Ima 'bout wore out - we've had a few days off from client work, so we've been working on stuff around the yards and house. It's been good but we are pretty tired. And as soon as I hit 'post reply' on this I will be out to work on the back yard.

Here's a lovely knife (curtesy of The Paragon of the Lambsfoot Jack Black Jack Black ) that cut up a steak last night.

What a great way to start the day Bill, looks delicious :) Nice pic of your Barlow :)

Good to see OTW mate :)

Yeah, it's really a struggle Steve, I've been running all the stock phrases you tend to see on old pocket knives through my head, and nothing seems to match  Thank you my friend, it's a beautiful knife :)

You guys have better eyesight than me! :D

Sounds good Todd, your Charlie Lamb is a beauty :)

I had a very generous parcel from Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 , full of all sorts of goodies, including one of Jeremy sbh06 sbh06 's fine pocket slips, and his Joseph Rodgers Shadow Lamb! It's a really thoughtful package, and even includes something really special for Tool Man, which he probably doesn't deserve! :D I'll show that in another thread, but big thanks to Paul for his kindness and generosity :)

Having a schnitzel today

That looks delicious Daniel, I haven't had schnitzel in ages

as even today, it's not so common here
A lot of what is passed off as Schnitzel here is not, if fact does not even come close. Most people here have never had a real Schnitzel, it is just another case of using a name but bastardising the product. There used to be a little cafe here started by a Polish couple who had survived the Nazi regime and who wanted a new life here. Now they had " Schnitzel ". A simple meal of, Schnitzel, potato salad, salt and pepper and a 1/4 of lemon. Sadly the people who ate there on a regular basis all died off, and was not trendy enough for the new generation of tossers, so is now gone. But they had schnitzels. 👌
