Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Got the '19 today. Cold windy, and miserable if I am being honest. Headed to the store to stock up on some essentials. Have a great day Guardians.

Hope you have better weather soon buddy :)
I'm not carrying this one today but it is on my desk. It's shown with a British Crown and an American Silver Dollar as it came as a gift from Jack Jack Black Jack Black from the UK and was recovered by Jason @Signalprick in of course the U.S.A ..

LOL! :D I hope you and Ethan can get a burger David, I kind of fancied one myself earlier, but didn't have any bread in. I didn't get a chance to go out unfortunately :( I'm going to be busy again tomorrow, but am definitely going to have to go out to get some groceries - not that I couldn't survive for a couple of years with all the stuff I have in! :D

Just about to hit the hay here Guardians, so enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and I'll catch you tomorrow :)

Brass is a mix of copper and zinc (with a few trace elements); white brass (German silver, nickel silver, etc) is the same thing but with a higher proportion of zinc. It does not contain nickel or silver. If I recall correctly, brass is usually something like 80/20 copper/zinc, and white brass is more like 65/35.

Well, I hate to discover that I was spreading misinformation on the intarwebz. I went and looked it up to see if I was recalling correctly, and I wasn't. Nickel silver DOES contain nickel (but no silver). The correct rough proportions (leaving various trace elements aside) are:
-Brass:
--65% copper / 35% zinc
-Nickel silver
--60% copper / 20% zinc / 20% nickel

To begin to make amends for any confusion I may have caused, here's a picture of a really nice knife that doesn't have any brass or nickel silver in it:

What a great project Taylor. Amazing how simplicity made those trucks so rugged...just like your fine lamb.
My '56 was like a Lego kit taking it apart and restoring

Thanks for keeping us updated Leon, I would love to find out more about this one

Good morning Guardians, and welcome to another week. I hope it's a good one for you :) I have another busy day ahead, and it's going to be like that for the rest of the week I reckon. Starting off with this one, my Hartshead Barlow in Rosewood, haven't carried it in a while (old pic I'm afraid). Have a good day Guardians
