Hope everyone is having a great day Lovely weather here today, and I enjoyed my hike I had coffee and cake in the old mansion house, and before heading into the woods, I thought I'd check in with the swans down at the lake

I was surprised to see that the woodland floor was still carpeted with bluebells. I had a nice walk, stopping for some slingshot practice on the way

The pub was a great place to end up, and me and my mate enjoyed having a few pints of Timothy Taylors, with pints of chips on the side!

Jack, thanks for sharing your pics of meandering through the great outdoors. Your rewards look delicious and a fine way to end the day.

Crazy busy day at work. Good to sit back and relax a little. I'm off tomorrow so chocolate oatmeal stout it is with a nice pipe filled to the brim with sweet Virginia tobacco. '19 lamb was in the pocket today. I love this knife.

Just bumped into my neighbour, a few doors down from me, who is a few years older than I am. He usually keeps himself pretty trim, and quite smartly dressed. He looks terrible, and has obviously lost weight. Told me has a brain tumour and lung cancer, poor guy, docs reckon he has 6 to 12 months to live. It only seems like a few weeks since we were last chatting in his garden, and he looked the picture of health

Hope you are ok my friend and that the water starts to subside.

We are doing well. Thanks for your concern Duncan. The water has receded and things are getting back to normal. We got roughly a foot of rain in a few hours. My wife and I stayed hunkered down in the house an didn't venture out to the market until afternoon. What a mess the roads were!

Hope everyone is having a good day As well as a little housework, I've been giving my Hartshead Barlow some TLC, and re-banding some slingshots. Got a sausage sandwich on the way, but it's too nice a day to stay in, so I'm going to sit outside and finish my Bulgarian novel I think
