I hope everyone is having a good Friday

It's been beautiful weather here, and I'm glad I decided to go over to
Harrogate today, because the forecast for the weekend isn't very good apparently

Like a lot of folks, certainly here, I'm still not travelling as much as I did before the pandemic, having kind of got out of the habit, and also having less reason to go places

Harrogate is very easy for me to get to, as there's a very comfortable double-decker bus, which passes the bottom of my street

It isn't long at all, before you get to the edge of Leeds, and the countryside beyond
Crossing the
River Wharfe
The bridge here is closing for a month soon, and as this means a lengthy detour, I probably won't be passing this way for a while.
I checked out a large antique centre in swanky Harrogate, before going for a coffee at a local blues bar in the town's 'Montpellier Quarter'.
I had a look round an old-fashioned sweet shop, and went in a couple of book shops, before heading back out of town for lunch at the Harewood Arms.
I took a few more pics from the bus, as it sped along.
It's a couple of months since I was last in the Harewood Arms, which is a Sam Smith's pub and hotel. The last time I was there, the chilli wasn't bad. Wasn't so good today, and not good value either. I paid for a side-order of onion rings, and they brought me chips instead. Didn't they think I had enough carbs?!
