Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Happy to say I got a clean bill of health after my colonoscopy and I've graduated to the ten year plan from the five year ๐Ÿ‘

Looking forward to a Chip Buttie !

GREAT NEWS! Glad things went well for you.

Chip Butty in my future as well! If my Henderson's Relish doesn't show up on the 1st, I might have to try some brown gravy since Worcestershire sauce is apparently an insult to this 'sandwich'.

The heat and humidity here in Texas is terrible! My jeans and shirt are dripping wet from sweating yesterday in the heat catching up around my farm.

My Henderson's Relish is due to arrive Aug 1st! We will have to see if it makes it in time for Yorkshire Day.

I'm all about the 'common' British teas here in Texas. Getting a decent cup of British tea is super nice compared to Lipton and the off-brands like Walmart "Great Value". Right now it's P&G and Tetley for the most part unless I do sweet Tea with some Luzianne which makes awesome 'sun tea' too! Sweet tea with Luzianne from the Deep South puts modern soda pop to shame too!

Need to remember to get some STEAK FRIES next time I'm in Town. The Lambsfoot and I are getting ready for a short trip to my friend's deck on the pond/lake for a nice late evening outing, might have to see if I can score some British beer for the outing too.
Sounds bad Sid, I hope you have a nice time at the lake  Hope your Henderson's Relish makes it in time :)

I had mine with a little salt and a little malt vinegar today, but you really don't need to put anything on. Here in Leeds, they fry the chips is beef dripping, but they're fine fried in oil in my opinion
I found a shop here where I will have my chip butty. ( my indestructable lamb).View attachment 2266549

Great find Bob, chip butty on the menu  Quite a few things there you would never see in a British chippy, but choice is good right?! :D Nice Lamb :)

Health nuts around here don't fry in Beef drippings or bake pastries with Hog lard at any public place that serves food. They are hell on Bacon generally as well. If mom uses Crisco to fry some Chicken at home these days, I would not be surprised to see Child Protective Services show up for child abuse!

Potatoes fried in oil tend to have an off taste from Chicken, Fish, and all manner of candy and packaged pastries built to survive a nuclear Winter! They also don't change the oil very often and use a product that reminds me of baking Soda to "sanitize it". ๐Ÿคฎ

Needless to say, I don't buy French Fries out very often for this reason but, I do hit a Fried Catfish house occasionally.

What I need to find are some frozen steak fries I can either fry at home or bake and broil at home to crisp them up with that classic steakhouse seasoning. Similar to Poutine, without cheese curds, and some brown gravy can be really good when done well. Though I'm curious about Henderson's Relish so, I'm hopeful it shows up in time. I might have to use my Lambsfoot to cut it in half so I can do a "half-and-half" with the Relish and some gravy for comparison. :)

If I wasn't pulling a trailer going to see my sister, I would hit Dallas, Texas for a British-themed restaurant similar to that shown above.

One of these days, I really need to go back to the UK as an adult and do a "pub crawl", eat some fish and chips, and other classic things. I might even hit Sheffield to see what knife sites I can and to load my suitcase up with finds from around town. There was a Pickwick shop in the Netherlands where I was staying and, I still wish I had tried to bring some of that glassware home so, another thought for a potential visit.

Shhhh.....๐Ÿง๐Ÿคฃ

I'm all in for one of those Sausages in a bun I see you posting. Is life worth living without things like this? My sister is hell on bacon and my mom was hell on beer. If the doctor told me I would live to a 100 or more if I gave them both up, along with fried chicken and beef steaks and hamburgers (hard NO to Impossible burgers here!), I'd say life ain't worth living without them!!! :)

I was told as a young man my high blood pressure was due to too much salt and eating things like potato chips/french fries and eggs.

After ~3 years without salt (no pre-prepared foods, breads, etc.), no potato chips or fries, or any eggs, my cholesterol was basically unchanged and my blood pressure was not meaningfully changed. After a full medical workup, I ate SIX eggs a day or more, potato chips, salted most things heavily, etc., and 6 months later my blood chemistry was basically unaffected and my blood pressure was the same. In my case, my problem is genetics from my mother's side of the family and their long history (multiple generations) of heart problems. I apparently inherited my father's metabolism which is pretty tolerant of bad diet choices. I do eat a lot of healthy stuff but, I enjoy me steaks, eggs, fried pies, etc. too!

Another shining moment in the life of your lamb. Well done Dwight
Thanks Bob!
Wonderful image Dwight
Thanks Jack.
A foggy misty morning out back with my lamb in the garden. In my garden I just plant stuff without any regard. Itโ€™s always better than no garden. I like dahlias. Zinnias are pretty nice too.

Otter Update: Santa Cruz surf board appropriating sea otter #841 has avoided capture by local and federal authorities and is still at large. I donโ€™t know if Greenpeace has been brought in on this one yet. There is an online petition that so far has garnered 50,000 signatures in support of keeping otter #841 free.

Beautiful image and what a gorgeous Toole in a tux.

Got this one a little while ago. I was a little disappointed with it. The action was quite gritty when it first arrived. I got that flushed out, however, it is still not very smooth opening. Hoping it will smooth out with wear. Also, it was not hafted to my liking, with the covers having wide flats adjacent to the liners. That was an easy problem to fix. I will start carrying it tomorrow.

Be sure to give me a shout! :) :D

"A little bit of what you fancy does you good." As they used to say ;)
LOL! :D I don't know what that feller's daytime job is, but he really wants to hang onto it! ๐Ÿคฃ

I can understand why you were disappointed Dan, that looks pretty shoddily put together :( Have you thought of putting a very small amount of Flitz into the joint, working the blade some, and then flushing it out?
Thank you Jack! HHB is handsome as ever. ๐Ÿค
Thanks David :)
Stunning composition Dwight :) Those sardines look tasty, and I'm glad your Henderson's arrived :)
Oh, you know I do. ๐Ÿค
That place is super cool, I'd like to go there.
Great to see you here John :) Hope you're doing OK buddy, and that you'll join us in a chip butty next week ;)

Good morning Guardians, I don't know about you, but I find the weeks go back quickly, as I get older, even though I don't fit as much into them, as I did when I was a youngster. Here we are approaching the end of another one, and I hope you've had a good one, with something to look forward to for the weekend. I'm going to see my mate Wolfie boxing again tonight, which makes for a pretty expensive night out. I just hope we don't have to sit there being deafened by R. Kelly all night, like at the last event, and maybe they'll put enough bar staff on, so you don't have to queue for 20 minutes to pay ยฃ6.50 for a plastic glass of beer ๐Ÿคฌ I'm not sure I'll get a chance to get down to Charlie's today, as I have some work to do, as well as some housework  No rain currently, but it's cool and overcast, kind of like you might expect here in early March. I've not seen the forecast for the weekend yet, but hoping we get a bit more sunshine ๐Ÿคž Got some WABOOM in my pocket, and a song in my heart! :D Have a good day Guardians :)
