A new horn arrived. I took the shine off the coat. Must say, blade is better than most of the newer ones. The pull is like a 15!! even after cleaning and lube.

Thanks guys, I found that one, looking tired and neglected, in a junk/antique shop. It had been bashed about a lot, and had no ferrule, but I thought it had promise. As Mitch notes, it's pretty sturdy, so I put an Alpine ferrule on it to help me along icy pavements, and snowy paths. Also added a little Yorkshireness

It's nice to see Bob's giveaway getting some entries I'm still worn out after all bag-carrying and hoofing yesterday, and it didn't help I woke up early. It sure was nice to go into Charlie's I got my bread, and some shopping in town, as well as a new mouse, and picked up the replacement DAB radio the shop failed to tell me about last week I've been missing tasty food, so I had a nice Thai lunch My main job today though, has been editing my photos from Whitby, and I'm still only about halfway through

Yikes, I like a strong pull, but with one of the last knives they made me, I could only open the blade with pliers!

Hope your new model wears in too Bob The knife I had was a real pig, particularly bad as it was a sample I had been waiting on, and went over to Sheffield to collect. Made some dullard who used to do the odd jobs I think

I'm just starting to experience the same with my TV remote, might mean new batteries, might mean a new TV! And of course, with the mouse, it can always be a software problem, as well as an electronic/mechanical one Not much technology is as reliable as SpaceLamb!

I got a ticket once for not wearing mine. I showed the cop my glasses, and he said "From Ray-Ban?" They were not prescription glasses, so I just fessed up and paid the fine. Also for speeding. But this was about 45 years ago. Always wear my glasses to drive now!
