I'll look into that one....may be safer for me!

It was an unexpected bonus gift on another purchase so I’m happy to have it and use it. Honestly I shouldn’t have messed with it in first place. A slightly off center blade shouldn’t bug me that much.

It's one of the things that bugs me Gus, and I always insisted the SFOs I had from Wright's had centred blades. In this case, I was promised they had been thoroughly checked, and the fact that they hadn't was the last straw for me

Got the day off. Something about a tropical storm in the Gulf. Sitting on my porch since it's the coolest it's been in months (81 degrees at noon--about 20 degrees cooler than usual).

That's Ardbeg Corryvreckan and a La Gloria Cubana. I'm on two porches at once!

May the storm miss you Vince, but glad it brought you some relief.

Well, you are all talking about robots...I will be part robot in October, just found out I need a hip. Next will be knees!! That's what you get when you play hard.

Here's hoping all goes well my friend, the good thing about these operations is that they are no longer these huge stays in Hospitals - and the recovery times are so much quicker!!
Gorgeous Lamb too!

In Corpus Christi, Texas, coast of south Texas on the Gulf of Mexico. The cigar is not actually from Cuba. I believe the company is or was from Miami; probably made in the Dominican Republic. Discovered this brand about 30 years ago. Excellent cigar, very consistent.

Well, Im in Miami. Yeah, it is a Miami cigar factory. Not sure where the tobacco is grown. My grandfather used to smoke the occasional Gloria Cubana. You posted a great picture and it reminds me of home. I thought maybe you were a neighbor. Hahaha.

Nice to meet a fellow knife enthusiast.

Gracias, Señor. My sister lives in Orlando (land-locked!). I sure love the coast.

Thought I was being clever snapping a photo on the skool roof, but ended up with a stay dog hair and a blurry knife. Oh well.

Sorry you had to go to all that trouble Gus, it's a shame Wright's couldn't have got it right in the first place :(

Just looking at my photos, I might just have got 5 Big 'Uns done (and 5 in the 'standard' size). Here are the Big 'Uns.

The blade being perfectly centered isn't something that really bothers me unless it's hitting the liners... this one is very good. I can see the varying quailty being extremely frustrating to a retailer, though. Those ebonies look nice. Well... 80% of them. 😄

I was always more of a Seagram's 7 and marsh wheeling kinda guy.... But then again I had to give it all up so I was doing it wrong anyways. 🤣🤣. Spontaneous days off are great, enjoy!

My MIL had a hip done not long ago and it was shocking how quick recovery went. Up and walking the same day, home the next day at lunchtime and straight to rehab. She was feeling better in no time. Hope it's as quick of a recovery for you. It's amazing what these docs can do today.

Have a good day everyone!
