Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

As part of other changes made in the past few months, going out to lunch got the axe. It's just too expensive. Well .. today I had an irresistible craving for these fresh spring rolls made by a fantastic Thai/Cambodian restaurant nearby. The only way to describe them is that it is just an explosion of freshness in every bite. Out of this world.


Unfortunately they were closed and I was pretty hungry, so the hot dog shoppe got my business instead. Dogs and fries covered in chili and cheese.... and a large pop to wash it down of course!

I'll eat healthier again tomorrow..... Haha.

If that were me, I would be glad the Thai shop was closed.

My wife, the non gourmet, thought Chilian sea bass was fish with chili on it! 😁

I'm kinda glad it was closed. That was a delicious mess of a lunch. Better than my typical salami sandwich and a pear!

I'd put chili on pretty much anything, so your wife might have something there!

I had some Vietnamese Pho in the market yesterday. Price has gone up to nearly £10, half the ingredients have gone, and they've halved the portion! :( Those dogs look good Rick, I love the 'shoppe'! :D :thumbsup:

I should have chewed on the plastic, it couldn't have tasted much worse than the stale cardboard-like cake, which tasted like a week-old doughnut. The raspberry tasted alright at least! Cost me £8 with coffee!.🙄

I presented my parcel at the post office, having already filled out the increasingly complicated customs form, but was told that the post office only accept parcels of under 2kg (4.4lb)! 🤔 It turned out that their terrible courier service, known here as 'Parcelfarce', would take larger parcels for some crazy money. I was reluctant to use them, but wanted to get the parcel underway, so I said I'd send it. I was then handed a far more complex form to fill out. Unfortunately, I didn't get very far as I didn't have Barrett's phone number! Probably for the best really, but I'm going to have to remove a third of the contents, and find some new packaging, as I used half a roll of duct tape sealing this one! 😖 Sorry Barrett, I'll get it off asap 👍

I’m sure the spring rolls would’ve been great, but those chili dogs looks pretty tasty, too! 😋 Plus, the chili adds extra protein, so that’s basically health food, right? 🤣

I used to catch up with mates on a regular basis for lunch, not any more, as the Pink Panther would have said. Just far too expensive now. The way things are heading with so many cafes and food sellers here a lot will fold, they won't be able to survive when customers get more selective. The price of a coffee here is ridiculous, i can make a good coffee at home for less than one tenth what some of these cafes are charging now. Just waiting for the machine to warm up as i type this. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: .
