Thank you David, it actually went pretty darn excellent! 😁 Unfortunately, I got home this evening to find my internet connection worthless, so I am just my phone at the moment, and can't share the pics I took β˜ΉοΈπŸ‘

Good morning Guardians found these at the local Costco they are super sweet. Not as good as the ones I grew up eating off the tree. View attachment 2332642
Looks like a treat Daniel. πŸ™‚ Old couple down the road from me grow figs, I was surprised they'd even grow here πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
Hope your morning is a good one. I’m doing my usual. It’s pretty nice just looking at trees and enjoying lots of coffee. I thought I’d take another picture of this lamb.

Bonus! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

I hope everyone is having a great day. Sorry I can't post pics ☹️ Hopefully my connection will be better tomorrow. I had a pretty good day 😊 I called in at Charlie's for coffee and a blueberry muffin, bought the kids some sweets (candy), and then called round at my mate, Matt's. We walked down to the Ridgeside brewery, and the curry and quiz do turned out to be a parent-organised fundraiser for the local primary school. They even had a beer named for, and specially brewed for, them, and it was really good. There was a nice thali too, and dessert, though I didn't have that. It was a really nice atmosphere, the beer went down well, the kids all enjoyed playing together, and I aced the quiz πŸ™‚ After leaving the brewery tap, Cillian, Matt's lad wanted to walk to one of our slingshot spots, about a mile or so away, as he had some photography ideas. Pretty interesting, from a lad who doesn't yet have a camera! 😁 We did as he wanted, and then walked back to a larger local brewery, where I bumped into one of the owners, who is an old friend of mine. We had another few pints, and some loaded fries, before trudging back up the hill, home. Pics tomorrow hopefully πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

For the best part of 20 years I used to frequent a curry house, a great family-run neighbourhood place, where the food is good, and the prices unbelievably low. By chance I started going out with a woman who lived nearby, and at one time, we were going there 2-3 times a week. Then, I developed some stomach problems, and had to stop eating after 4.30pm, then Covid came, and around the same time I split up with my ex, so it's a while since I was last there. Nazam's is opposite the venue where Wolfie was fighting, so I thought I'd go over early, and treat myself to a curry. At just after 5pm, I was their first diner, and it was so nice to see everyone again. They really looked after me. Their menu has changed, physically at least, and I didn't have my reading glasses with me, so I just ordered from memory, starting with poppadoms and pickles, then mixed bhajis with a side salad, and mushroom dhansak with chappatis. The food was fantastic, even better than I remembered, and I thoroughly enjoyed it πŸ˜‹

The staff kept coming out of the kitchen to talk to me, and ask my about my family, and update me on how theirs are. When I went to pay, they told me just to give them Β£10, but I doubled that, and then walked down the road…

That’s fantastic, Jack. I’m glad an old favorite didn’t disappoint.

to The Chemic Tavern, for a pint. I sat in the same spot, where I sat 21 years ago, when I first started thinking of moving to Leeds, after a similar tasty meal at Nazam's. The pub hasn't changed much, and the beer is still excellent

I was on my second pint when the first of my mates began to arrive, and we were soon joined by more, and having a great crack (being a Northern English/Scottish word, that's how we spell it ;)) Wolfie called in with the tickets for the fight, and then went off to the venue, while the rest of us stayed boozing in the pub ;)

Looks like an interesting pub. Hope you had a great night!

Here's Wolfie after the fight

Wolfie certainly looks no worse for wear.

Yes, the Momofuku is delicious Barrett πŸ˜‹

It certainly is. I just finished a jar, which I guess means it’s time to crack open the jar of Extra Spicy I’ve got. πŸ₯΅πŸ˜

I told the man in the Chilli Shop that all I know about this kind of stuff I learned from you :)

That’s kind of you to say. I’m far from an expert, and, compared to a lot of hot sauce enthusiasts, definitely a lightweight, but I’ve found a few things I enjoy, and am always curious to try something new.

Good morning Guardians !

Old Stagy today
