Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

By the way, if you have the energy for cabin fever, you're on the mend, and you can take that to the bank.
They might look at you funny if you do.

Yes then smother a steak with them for me.
I'm not sure if these are edible though.
The only self-picked mushrooms I'll eat are morels. They look a lot different than other types around here.
I like the way the article stresses not jumping to conclusions. Our main stream media can't seem to wait to leap to unfounded conclusions and repeat them ad nauseam

Glad you're improving Jack

Good point, yes our media tends to do so as well.

I heard of that case way over here, in the early stages. I remember thinking it a little suspicious that the hostess survived.

Affectionately known as the destroying angel.
I've read one survivorist to the effect that you shouldn't even bother with mushrooms, because they don't have enough nutritive content to repay the chewing, never mind the risk of accelerated death.

Back in the early 1980's, I discovered a mycology class at Sheffield University, which was run by (probably) the, then, UK expert on fungi. It was inexpensive, and combined a few lab sessions with an equal number of field trips. I did the course several times over the years, and of course, the field trips were the most interesting, as you really felt confident with this feller

Thanks Mike, morels are delicious :)

Crazy week for me. End of fiscal year stuff at work and then had a great weekend in Laramie, WY supporting my nephew. Had a great time at the tailgate and game. Back to reality and the daily grind at work. Beautiful day and have the Giraffe lamb in the pocket.

Looks like a great time, Paul. That entire area and the Snowy Range just to the west of it are amazing!

I'm not sure if these are edible though.

I believe those are commonly known as False Parasols - but I prefer the medieval name "Green Vomiters" - The "green" refers to the green spores attached to the gills under the cap. The "Vomiters" part refers to what you'll be doing if you were to eat them.

Not edible!

Good information to know Will, not that I eat wild mushrooms.

Sounds like a good weekend. I like the wood-like look of that giraffe bone.

NONE of them are edible! They're fungi!
🤮 😜
Almost lost my appetite. Going to get potatoes and leeks for potato and leek soup. A very tasty dish.

I agree.
