Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Quite some time ago, I ordered some Colman's Mustard. I had quite forgotten that I had ordered some as it came as a surprise when it finally ended up at my doorstep (reminds me of my own recent postal woes). Initially disappointed with the rather wee dimensions of the jar, I still decided to make myself a sandwich and promptly discovered that a little goes a long way...

Delicious mustard but I was certainly not expecting the horseradish. I will have to be less generous in the application for future sandwiches...

Lovely lambsfoot.
Is that mustard available in the US, or must it be ordered from the UK?

Sure wish I could get vibrant photos like yours Dylan, awesome!:thumbsup: Yeah the hunt for the right mustard is almost like hunting for the perfect knife':p

Thank you, fellas, for the compliments.

I have not been able to find the mustard at any brick and mortar store. I did find it via Amazon and one of their British retailers though, but I waited around a month and a half, maybe longer before it got here. You might get lucky and find a British Imports store here in the States who can either order it for you or they might even carry it (I'd hope for the latter but count on the former).

It is rather delicious. I just happen to like mustard and I ended up putting too much on (should have given it a more thorough taste test). I caught wind of this when I was watching a British charcuterie channel on YouTube. The gentleman there prepares some of the finest looking British meats, regularly derides "French's" mustard, and always seems to have Colman's on hand.

That's an absolutely fantastic shot Dylan :) When I was a kid, Colman's mustard was also sold in tubes, so that you could take it camping :D I have never been a fan of mustard though I'm afraid :( I did use to use Colman's mustard powder to bring out the flavour in a cheese sauce though

Colman's would sure liven up your Sunday sausage sandwiches, Jack!

I prefer a tomato and chilli chutney my friend :) I'm not sure why I have an aversion to mustard, I have tried it many times, and a number of different types, but I have always found it unpleasant :( Mind you, I didn't start to like olives until I was 40, and since then I must have eaten my weight in them! :D

That chutney looks good, too. I have loved mustard since I was born. When I was a child my mother would make my potato salad with extra mustard separately. In fact, I usually added more. I'd often stand by the ice box eating one green olive after another. Now I enjoy them with my martinis. Which reminds me: I need to pick up some Tanqueray on the way home.
(Why does reading these forums often make me hungry and thirsty?!)

It's not bad my friend, I usually add a little more chilli :) I hate not liking things  With olives, a few folks told me they were something I might start to like as I got older (apparently your taste-buds change a couple of times), so I kept on trying them. Usually, it was an awful experience, but then suddenly I loved them! :D With the wedding I'm going to tomorrow, I think I'm just going to have a beer tonight, but I hope you enjoy your gin :) I had lunch in a local Mexican place, I just had some nachos and a ginger beer, but there were people drinking shots of tequila - it was only just after noon! :D

Dylan, I'm not into mustard, but ooooohh that stag!:thumbsup:

My dragon Yixing is reserved for green tea only, and this morning I had some gunpowder imperial green, with a few drops of lime juice and honey.

Hey, there are two of us (I don't feel quite so bad now)! :D

Cool pic Jeff :)

Can you name that Fungus for us??
Charlie I have no clue as to the name of the mushroom. This particular one had and ordinary dome shape for about 10 days and then, overnight, it went from dome to flat and now it is cupped. Interesting and beautiful these fungi. :)

Pàdruig Pàdruig , Jack Black Jack Black , between the mustard pic and the sausage pic I'm ready to chow down! Thankfully I'm about to fire up the grill. Beautiful pics and knives fellas. :) Have a great weekend everyone!
