Morning Guardians. Nice weather for a walk. Not too cold. My rain gauge says we got an inch of rain over the past couple of days. We get a little more in the mountains. Lots of critters about. I have four deer lounging in the field right now. Three have taken a load off and are laying down. They’re used to seeing me sitting out back I guess and feel safe. Here’s my lamb today.

Hey John. Ashwin is a member here and he built it. The blade is 8670 carbon steel. SS liners. Nice action. Runs on washers. The bolsters are soldered. It’s a fine build. I’d buy another. Glad you like it.

Tool Man would be about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! I spoke to him this morning, he was on the way to the shops on his electric bicycle, and complaining about the saddle. I told him, "You want to get a bigger saddle you fat @#%&!!"

Hope everyone's day is going OK. I had a frustrating start, walked a mile to the sorting depot to get my parcel, getting there at 10.03am, and then discovering that they had changed their opening times from 8am-5pm, (and 8pm closing once a week), to 8am-10am! :mad I only checked their website yesterday too!

Hope you find time for breaks to play with that cool Lambsfoot.

I didn't even have bread for toast this morning! It's a strange thing Paul, I decided to have a month on the waggon towards the end of September, but since officially falling off nearly 2 weeks ago, I haven't drunk much. I had 2 pints on the night my sobriety officially ended, a beer with lunch a few days later, and I had four pints, along with some whiskey, when I went to the cinema last week. There's beer in the fridge, and I'm generally very well-stocked for booze, but I haven't drunk any of it. Not to worry, I'm sure I'll be back to it soon, and it won't do me any harm I guess. I might have to get in training, so that I get the most from my vacation 'all inclusive' package at Xmas!

I nearly burnt my mouth on another pie tonight Mitch! I had a minced beef and onion pie, with roast potatoes, roast asparagus, and gravy I had meant to cook some peas too, but I had one eye on some work, when I should have had them both on the stove! Talking of eyes, I just remember I need to go back to the opticians tomorrow to get stung for some new specs. I haven't even had a chance to look at the paperwork they gave me yet!

Edit - I think I'm going to have to postpone the opticians until the following week!

Been Chaos here today. Our second biggest Telco has been offline all day for the last 12 hours, still slow connecting with all the traffic trying to log on at once. Made me realize what a slave we have become to technology. Technology is like a 2 stroke engine. When they are working they are brilliant, but when something goes wrong they are a piece of you know what. With just under half our population connected to this company how much money it has cost will be mind blowing, just an example, no trains for most of the day, including the morning peak. You can put Tech and Computers where the sun does not rise or shine. And i have cleaned that up because this is a family friendly thread.

I hadn't realised how hard it was raining here when I went out. We sure have had a wet year! It's only a mile to the sorting office, but not a particularly nice walk, and there's no other way to easily get there, apart from bicycle maybe. I got pretty wet, but also got my parcel, finally The walk back is all uphill, so I detoured to Charlie's to break it up a bit

Me too Jack, I only have cappuccino when I go to a Cafe and sit, normally black for me me. I talked Kristy into going for a coffee when she got home.

At the butchers the other day, I went all out & got wagyu beef burgers .
