I like the name Steve

Cool pic my friend
I bet you're getting sick of all that rain. Nice that you were able to take a break at Charlies !
Thanks buddy, I am!

It hasn't stopped, and there's more of it due tomorrow
Tool Man just rang me to let me know that Boring Ray has Covid

Ray has worse luck than I do!

Last week, he was away on the family holiday, where they always go - Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast

In November!
Every year they go, Ray comes back with numerous tales of woe, he's lost his wallet, his car's been stolen, he's broken a leg, his house has been burgled, he spent 3 days in hospital, he came home to half the roof missing, he has a speeding/parking fine, he was arrested, he has been violently ill, him and his wife were asked to leave the hotel, he's lost his suitcase, he's ripped his new suit. All these things have happened, sometimes several times, in the time I've known Ray. He suffers with depression, and I'm not surprised. At least Covid is something new anyway
With Ray away, Tool Man has had the cheek to ask me to look after his stall again, while he goes to try on, and collect, his finished suit

It's been touch and go if I'll be able to get down to the market at all this week, and I had intended to just visit for an hour or so this week. I had told him this, but it went straight in one ear, and out of the other

He's lucky I'm not as selfish as he is!
At least I'll have some leek and potato soup to come home to

And I might make myself a sandwich again, since Tool Man's 90 minute visit to the tailors will inevitably be at lunchtime
The Chieftain hasn't accompanied me for a while, so I think I will take him to the market tomorrow
