Last night I was subjected to four hours of small-town bar karaoke. It was an early birthday party for my wife and a friend/coworker of hers who shares the same birthday (same year, even) at the end of the month. In addition to karaoke not being my idea of fun, it was one of those deals where my wife knew everyone who was there (probably 40 people) and didn’t know hardly anyone. So I spent most of the night holding up a wall and drinking beer.

Pretty quiet Sunday today. Got a few things done around the house — cleaned out some desk drawers, shredded a bunch of old papers and cleared out the gutters again, hopefully for the last time this year. Carrying my Katalox Albers Lamb again. It’s good.

No but I suppsion that someone thought it tasted so good they said "it'll blow you away like a hurricane." Its a Tool Man type sauage roll. It has Sauage, bacon, egg Cheese and gravey inside of it. I dont eat one very often cause of the salt but they sure are tasty!

It’s about to get REAL busy for me in the next few weeks, between family, work, and holidays so I’m enjoying one final slow Sunday before the madness begins. Maybe I’ll put up the lights on the house before the snow starts… or maybe not.

For sure Barrett, I can remember when everyone got their mail before 9.00am, (we used to get ours just after my dad left for work at 7am), and there was a second delivery at lunchtime. Now, it can be late afternoon, because the poor posties have bigger rounds, and a stack of advertising leaflets to deliver
