Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Well, I have been following this thread for a little while and find that the lambsfoot knife has really piqued my interest. I finally figured out where to find one. I ordered a Michael May in bog oak, and it just showed up in today’s mail.
First impressions- it appears to be pretty fantastic for the money! I’m used to paying GEC money traditional knives lately, so this seems like a bargain so far. Let me know what you Guardians think of my first lambsfoot!
Thank you!

The bog oak looks mighty fine :thumbsup::thumbsup:

No one has checked in for a couple of hours, probably asleep, but we were sliding down the page.

Yesterday was a mixed bag for me. Doctors didn't go well but on the bright side I did get my new glasses, they were supposed to contact me when they were in, I decided to check as it had been 2 weeks and we were at the shopping centre and yep they were there🙄🙂
Oh and I got a coffee ☕

Sorry to hear about the docs Mitch, I hope they're going to be able to put things right  I still haven't done anything about my glasses, have to wait until after Christmas now  Glad you got yours mate, and a nice coffee :)
🤣I was typing while you were posting.
You are our stalwart 'Midnight Guardians', a bit like Max and Paddy :) :D

Congratulations Joe, and welcome to The Guardians :)
That looks like a fine lamb to me! Welcome to the group, there’s always room for another member. If you haven’t already (bold assumption I know) I recommend checking out post #1 of this thread and a few others from Jack on page one. They are loaded with good information.
Thanks Jeremy :) Great Guardians welcome guys :)
Thanks Steve, your 'new' IXL is a beauty :)
Thank you @cudgee. I have almost broken my thumbnail to a nubbin by now, since I’ve been fiddling with this thing for the last few hours!😂
The pull is stronger than any other knife I’ve owned- by a good margin!
It’s fairly gritty, and I am doing my due diligence to get the mating surfaces to like each other a little more! Just a couple of drops of oil, and a lot of open and close.
I think that tomorrow I will flush it and re-oil it. (First 3,000 mile oil change)😃
Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome.
Flushing out will definitely make a difference Joe, you'll find all sorts of rubbish in there! I usually use canned air  I think I'm going to have to perform more surgery on the last one I acquired! ;)

Looks like your Lamb is on cardboard duty Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is keeping well, and looking forward to the weekend. It's still pretty miserable here, but at least the rain has stopped, for the time being  I have a bunch of errands to do in town, so I need to make a list, otherwise I'll forget at least half of them! Carrying my Hartshead Barlow today, for the first time this week. Shown here with a postcard Johnnythefox Johnnythefox sent me, which I think Tool Man would like (though he only has a SWB Land Rover these days :) Have a good day Guardians

Thanks Jack, I'll get there, new stronger medication 🙄 I shouldn't need it though I'm still a young fella barely past adolescence ☺️
Yep more cardboard the daughter bought a shelving unit. Kristy tells me I should get charged more for boxed goods as I get the bonus of cutting them up, outrageous!😱🤣

Enjoy the day and your HHB Jack. Hope you can get to Charlie's for a coffee and cake. 🤠

Good morning Guardians or afternoon or.... Getting ready for Christmas around the house. 🎅 My wife and I have gotten a little bit of a late start decorating but we are making progress. We've been very busy baking cookies for our annual cookie exchange that will be hosted by good friends. 🍪 8 dozen cookies. That's just us! There will be roughly 12 couples at 8 dozen cookies each. That's a lot of cookie dough!:p Anyway, my HHB was helping and stayed sharp.

I may need to wear my bells, as my seasonal joy is a little strained by all the extra chores at Church.

Very nice pose for your HHB Bill. You have my imagination peaked with the aroma of cookies filling the house.🫓🍪

Thank you David, I ended up having coffee and an apple Danish in Charlie's, another coffee in a book store in the city centre, and then a Thai lunch! :D

LOL! :D Back when my kids were young, I used to really go to town with the meals over Christmas, and one Christmas Eve, I still had about 20 food items on my list, as I went into the centre of Sheffield. The heavens opened, one of the most torrential downpours I've ever seen, there were women screaming it was so bad. I had a Gore-Tex jacket on, so was relatively well-protected, and found a bit of shelter opposite the old Richards factory. Eventually the downpour eased a little, and went to check my list to see what I needed next, but when I put my coat pockets had filled up like goldfish bowls, and the list was destroyed! Fortunately, I managed to remember everything. Not a chance of that now though!😵‍💫 At least they'll be able to hear you coming Jer :D :)
Nice to see the HHB again Jack. 😊
Thank you Todd :)
