I figured it was something like that.

That, or you were auditioning to replace Sir David Attenborough.
Iβm going to have to try again (with a different recipe, that is) and see if I can redeem myself on the mac and cheese.
Thanks, Jack. The house has a
ton of little details from the movie, most of which I canβt do justice with pics.
No Coffee Stout this time (I think Iβve had it before, but itβs been years). He did bring some of their Oatmeal Stout, which is also pretty good.
I love Lego when I was a kid, and hadnβt done any in a long time, until Eleanor started to get
into it recently and we built a few sets together. This was bigger than anything Iβd ever done before, though. It wasnβt difficult, per se, but parts of it are certainly complicated and require a close attention to detail, and it was a bit time consuming. I didnβt time myself or anything, but I worked on it here and there over the course of 3 or 4 days, and would guess it took maybe 8 hours or so.
Nice looking work, Jeremy!
Safe travels, Jack!
Love that picture, Bob!

Well, I narrowly avoided a disaster last night. Months ago, I bought tickets for myself and Julie, Eleanor, my brother and his wife and their daughter to go see
A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Eleanor and I went for the first time last year and it was great, so we were looking forward taking everyone this year while they were in town for the holidays.
We headed out for a quick bite to eat before the show at a place we that like with a great happy hour menu. Then we drove downtown, paid for parking, walked around the theater, got a couple drinks and waited until it was time to take our seats. It was somewhere around this point that I pulled up the tickets on my phone and realized I had made a terrible mistake. Somehow, without realizing it until that moment, I had purchased tickets for the 1:00 performance, not the 7:30 one we were there to see.
Julie and I went to the information desk and explained what had happened. The woman there said (of course) that they were sold out for that night, but that she would see if there was anything that could be done. After maybe five agonizing minutes, during which I had
very little hope that this story would have a happy ending, she came over and told us to go down to the larger box office desk one floor down. They had somehow (I have no idea how) managed to find us six tickets, all together, in seats that were actually better than the seats I had purchased. We had to pay a little extra for them, but at that point it felt like a small price to pay, particularly given the alternative!
Although my nerves were a bit shot after that brief but stressful debacle, we ended up having a great time. I had my Katalox Albers Lamb in my pocket, which certainly spent some time as a worry stone last night.
