Glad you're back safe despite the excitement.Hi Guardians, I finally got back home about 10pm, after a long day. There were delays, and a lot of queuing at Lanzarote airport, and we were over 30 minutes behind schedule when we took off. Approaching Leeds, we hit the tail-end of a thunderstorm, and it looked like we might have to divert to another airport. We spent half an hour circling over a town called Burnley, in a 'holding pattern'. Thankfully, we didn't die in Lancashire, or even have to land there, and the pilot took advantage of a break in the clouds, to put us down in Leeds. It was a pretty shaky landing, and he then had to back up the plane, and we all had to get off through the rear exit, before boarding buses, and then a long walk within the airport. Outside, it was raining cats and dogs, but then suddenly stopped. The taxi driver told me that it had been raining so hard, on his way to the airport, that he had to pull over, because he couldn't see! I got back home to a pile of mail, including some very nice Christmas cards from fellow Guardians, a nice letter from Stan Shaw's missus, and a very large parcel from Mr and MrsTyson A Wright
More on those tomorrow, when I catch up, but for now I need to hit the hay! Goodnight Guardians

I didn't show you the new Mont-bell walking stick the girls got me for Christmas, I've wanted 1 for awhile dark mallard Lorna picked for the colour very flash. 2 way handle to use as a long hiking pole, has anti shock spring. This 1 will get used primarily as a Morning walk stick, now that Buddy is semi retired![]()

My favorite of your Lambs Dwight!
I agree whole heartily! As much as I love the sfo lambs and the custom lambs there's just a ton of specialness in the old ones on so many levels. This rig is a perfect example.
Ruggedly handsome Lamb!

Good morning Guardians, Seems that was quite a storm we flew through last night!Storm Gerrit brought hail, thunder, lightning, 80mph winds, snow, torrential rain, power blackouts, and a tornado! The area we flew through was among the worst affected! There's more Weather to come over the next few days - what a welcome home!
I have had my central heating cranked right up since I got in last night, and the old house is still warming up! It looks pretty grim outside!I still haven't unpacked, and have a ton of stuff to do today, so I will wish you all a good day, and catch up with you later (internet signal permitting). With Wee Staggy still in my suitcase, my Charlie Lamb helped me open my mountain of mail last night, and will be in my pocket today
Have a good one Guardians

They're just a bit toey I think, after telling us it was going to be dry all year we had crops dying under water, then with the el nino summer forecast most guys didn't chance summer forage. We've since had half our annual rainfall in six weeks!
Glad your home safe.
Bit of controversy with the weather forecast department here. Christmas night a lot of the east coast of Australia was hit with severe storms. The department issued warnings after 9pm for the Gold Coast in Queensland but the storm hit about 8.40, 8.45pm oops.
True indeed mate! Yet they can predict exactly what it will be like in 50 yearsThey're just a bit toey I think, after telling us it was going to be dry all year we had crops dying under water, then with the el nino summer forecast most guys didn't chance summer forage.
